Stormzy is entering the acting world with his debut film ‘Big Man’, which is under his new production company #MerkyFilms.

The film follows the emcee, who plays Tenzman, a former rapper who’s going through personal and creative issues. But, along the way, he forms a relationship with two teenagers, Klevis and Tyrell (Klevis Brahja and Jaydon Eastman). Their bond brings on a sense of purpose and reawakens Tenzman’s love and passion for music.
The project is being directed by Oscar winner Aneil Karia. It was filmed entirely on an iPhone 16 Pro by cinematographer Stuart Bentley.
This film marks the UK rapper’s first lead acting role.
‘Big Man’ officially launches #MerkyFilms, which is an extension of the MC’s #Merky brand.
In addition to this film, there are multiple projects in development at #MerkyFilms like a drama series, a biopic, documentaries, an animated project, and a mockumentary. Also, Stormzy (born Michael Omari) confirmed a development partnership with Netflix.
The short film will premiere on June 18 on YouTube at 8 PM BST.
