The NFL is in mourning following the tragic passing of Dallas Cowboys rookie Marshawn Kneeland, whose life ended in an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound early Thursday (6 November).

New dispatch details obtained by TMZ paint a heartbreaking picture: authorities were alerted after the 24-year-old reportedly sent alarming goodbye messages and was believed to be armed amid a mental health crisis.
Following a late-night traffic stop attempt, Kneeland fled officers before his vehicle was later discovered crashed along Dallas Parkway. After an hour-long search, police located his body inside a portable toilet. Listen to the dispatch audio below:
Tributes continue to pour in, with the Cowboys calling Kneeland “a beloved teammate and member of our organization,” while his agent, Jonathan Perzley, said:
“I am shattered to confirm that my client and dearest friend Marshawn Kneeland passed away last night. I watched him fight his way from a hopeful kid at Western Michigan with a dream of being a respected professional for the Dallas Cowboys. Marshawn poured his heart into every snap, every practice, and every moment on the field. To lose someone with his talent, spirit, and goodness is a pain I can hardly put into words.”
