Deadline confirms that the star, who played fan-favorite Krazy in the first season:
“will play no further role in the drama.”
It’s of note that his character seemingly died at the climax of the inaugural season. Whether or not there were plans for a return is unknown.
The Grime pioneer, real name Justin Clarke-Samuel, pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving following a hit-and-run in Ilford last October, which left a 20-year-old pedestrian fatally injured. He has remained in custody since and faces an “inevitably lengthy” prison sentence ahead of his February hearing.
Ghetts’ exit marks a significant shake-up for ‘Supacell,’ which was renewed after a breakout debut season. As of writing, Netflix has yet to issue a full statement.
