The actor came face-to-face with his newly unveiled wax figure at Madame Tussauds London, and the resemblance was uncanny.

So much so that he had to share the moment with his Mom.

Both stunned and amused, the Londoner couldn’t resist pulling out his phone to share the moment with his mother.

As cameras rolled, the 53-year-old took in the lifelike replica before FaceTiming his mother, Eve, to get her unfiltered verdict. Her response was instant and priceless. She gushed:

“Oh, my God!”

The wax figure rocks the same outfit the actor wore in July 2024 when he met with King Charles to discuss youth violence and The King’s Trust, arguably giving the display a deeper personal meaning beyond the surface.

Musing on the steps that led to the major moment, the multihyphenate, who is famed for his roles in titles such as ‘Luther,’ ‘The Wire,’ and forthcoming effort ‘Hijack,’ described the process as surreal, likening it to preparing for a film role, only this time, he was the character. Speaking to onlookers, he added that seeing a version of himself permanently stationed in London – especially – felt super meaningful.

The wax figure is now on public display at Madame Tussauds London.
