It’s that time of year again!

The 2021 Screen Actors Guild nominations have been announced and bring with them multiple nods for the stars of ‘Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom‘ – including a historic four nods in a single year for Chadwick Boseman, who died last August. The much-loved actor was also honored for his role in ‘Da 5 Bloods.’

Also receiving ample shine are Michaela Coel‘s ‘I May Destroy You’ and Kerry Washington‘s ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ – both of which were snubbed in yesterday’s Golden Globes nominations reveal.

From 1984-1988, TV lovers tuned in weekly for NBC hit ‘Punky Brewster’ – the popular 80’s sitcom that introduced American viewers to Soleil Moon Frye (who portrayed the show’s lovable, titular character).

In 2019, fans of the series were sent into a frenzy when NBC announced its new streaming service – Peacock – would revive ‘Punky’ alongside ‘Saved by the Bell’ and other beloved teen-driven shows from yesteryear.

The 2000-and-now version of ‘Punky’ sees her as a single mother of three trying to get her life back on track before meeting a foster child who reminds her of her younger self.

‘Coming 2 America’ is almost here!

Premiering March 5 2021, the sequel to 1988’s ‘Coming To America’ is set to make a major splash on Amazon’s Prime Video.

Led by returning duo Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall, this chapter sees Prince Akeem on the cusp of becoming king of Zamunda when he discovers he has a son he never knew about in America — a street-savvy Queens native named Lavelle. To honor the former king’s dying wish to groom his grandson as the crown prince, Akeem, and Semmi head back to America.

The cast also includes the likes of Tracy Morgan, Jay Pharaoh, Jermaine Fowler, Teyana Taylor, and Wesley Snipes.

It’s been over a year since the last time fans of VH1’s ‘Basketball Wives’ learned the latest happenings of its feisty cast led by Shaunie O’Neal (who also serves as executive producer), Malaysia Pargo, Evelyn Lozada, Jackie Christie, Jennifer Williams, Kristen Scott, Ogom “OG” Chijindu, and Feby Torres.
