Tyra Banks has returned to ‘America’s Next Top Model’ and it appears that she’s bringing some major names with her.
Dwindling ratings saw the show brought to an end in 2016 after 22 cycles, but before then the series made headlines when fan favorites Nigel Barker, Miss Jay Alexander, and Jay Manuel were all let go in 2012.
Despite a number of new names being introduced to the mix, viewership continued on a downward trend – eventually bringing about the cancellation announcement.
A revival on VH1 this year saw ‘ANTM’ reimagined with Rita Ora as host and an all new panel of judges.
But with Banks back in the saddle for the next iteration of the show’s return, it appears nostalgia is the name of the game.
For, this week Barker, Alexander, and Manuel took to social media to share shots of them “reunited.” Coincidence? We think not.
Commenting on the pics, Alexander wrote:
“First there was Naomi, Linda, and Christy.? Now this Trio back together catwalking on New York City Streets can only mean one thing hmmmmmmmmmm…? Trouble..!”
Barker, who upon leaving joined Naomi Campbell‘s rival show ‘The Face,’ added:
“Reunited and it feels so… about time we brought the band back together don’t you think?”
Excited? We are.
Sure ‘ANTM’ hasn’t produced another Eva, Yaya, Tocarra, and more in a while, but this particular line-up made for an engaging watch.

That last cycle of ANTM with Rita Ora was horrendous! I have faithfully watched every single cycle since the debut on UPN. After forcing myself to watch that last cycle, I had decided I was no longer going to watch, but after hearing Tyra’s taking it back, hopefully it will be back to how it used to be. Funny that Nigel is coming back though since he had a lot of trash to talk about ANTM and Tyra after he got fired. He must really need that check.
