Kesha is back with her latest single.

Titled ‘Joyride’ the song was released on July 4, or Independence Day in the United States to celebrate Kesha becoming an Independent artist after previously being signed to RCA Records and Kemosabe Records.

The song is a sonic departure from her last album, ‘Gag Order.’ Where that was experimental, ‘Joyride,’ is a an electro-banger perfectly timed to summer, and is a callback to early hits like ‘Tik Tok.’

She has plenty of quotable lyrics throughout the song, like: “You want kids? Well I am mother” and “Are you a man? ‘Cause I’m a b**ch.”

Kendrick Lamar sprung a surprise on the masses moments ago with the video for his smash hit Drake diss ‘Not Like Us.’

A click, cinematic affair, the visual (which was directed by K. Dot and Dave Free), sees the superstar celebrate what many have deemed a victory lap in Compton.

Notably, Lamar visually claps back at claims Drizzy made about the status of his relationship with Whitney Alford. For, not only is his fiancée featured in the video along with their kids, they all dance in the video too.

With R&B darlings and six female rappers on its performance roster, Sunday’s BET Awards (June 30) already had a heavy dose of girl power.

But, the lady-led tribute to Usher drove that point all the way home when it assembled the stage-blazing talents of Tinashe, Teyana Taylor, Victoria Monet, KeKe Palmer, Coco Jones, Marsha Ambrosius, and Chloe Bailey to perform some of the music megastar’s greatest hits.

And while their composite performance had Ush, live audience members, and viewers at home on their feet with a standing ovation, some critics took to the net to voice disappointment that Donald Glover was the only taste of testosterone over the nearly 17-minute showing.

Among those making headlines for this view are superstar singer-songwriter Eric Bellinger and veteran screen actress Elise Neal.

In his own unique way, Eminem not only toasts Tobey Maguire by recreating the infamous Spider-Man meme for the cover art of his latest single but also by titling the track the actor’s namesake.

Tapping fellow Detroit natives Big Sean and BabyTron to assist, the new song – which features a prominent Steve Miller Band sample – comes as the follow-up to Em’s chart-topping hit ‘Houdini‘ (both from his forthcoming album ‘The Death Of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)’).

“Ain’t feelin’ your top five favorite rappers / So I know they ’bout to be pissed at me / But this, to me, is a mystery / How rappers I’ve already ripped could be / Higher up on a list than me / Yet here I sit on your list though at five, which still was fine,” the 51-year-old spits in reference to Billboard’s “50 Greatest Rappers of All Time” list.
