Drake is back and ready for ‘War.’

With just hours to go before Christmas, the rapper has unwrapped the freestyle and an accompanying video – directed by Theo Skudra.

The fiery track is lifted from mixtape ‘El-Kuumba Tape Vol. 1′ – a project helmed by his righthand man Oliver El-Khatib and Kuumba International.

Drizzy also seizes the song to confirm a reconciliation with The Weeknd, referring to mending fences with “the boy who sound like he sung on Thriller.”

The visual comes as anticipation grows for the album follow-up to ‘Scorpion,’ which he’s teased a 2020 release for.

While Lizzo is probably still feeling good as hell thanks to ongoing praise for her rocking performances on last weekend’s ‘Saturday Night Live’ (click here if you missed them), the full figured singer was still subjected to criticism from some for her physique and wardrobe selections.

One of the most noted comments came from renown author, professor, and political analyst Dr. Boyce Watkins.  Taking to Twitter recently, Watkins – no stranger to headlines for his sometimes controversial social commentary – stated:

“#Lizzo popular is because there is an obesity epidemic in America,” he wrote. “Rather than encouraging people to do better, we are simply lying to them and telling them that they are just fine the way they are. Unfortunately, many of these people are dying from diabetes and heart disease.”

Later referring to her as “the fat Cardi B,” his fiery statements were retweeted so many times they eventually landed on the desk of Lizzo.  Look inside to see how she responded:

Blanco Brown may have already scored a top 20 hit earlier this year with his debut single, ‘The Git Up,’ but now he’s teaming with ‘Get Up’ singer Ciara to get the song back up to Billboard’s upper rankings.

Giving fans a new reason to 1,2 step, Cici takes it back to her Southern roots with the remix’s sassy verses:

“Let me see you two step, then one, two step/ Do the cowgirl boogie, both you hands like this/ Take it to the floor with a whole lotta drip/ Now show off your moves in your new outfit/ Get low…get low…get low then wind it up slow.”

While the Country, Hip Hop-inspired jam has earned comparison to that of Lil Nas X‘s megahit, ‘Old Town Road,’ the diva’s fiery contributions alongside a reported soon-to-drop music video could finally be just what ‘Git Up’ needs to get out of ‘Road’s shadow.
