During the press run for the show, which also featured T.I. and Chance The Rapper as panelists, the femcee playfully touted her pay-packet as one of the key incentives for her joining.

And now it’s apparent why.

Once a formidable duo, Jay-Z and Kanye West found themselves at opposite ends – both personally and professionally. The latter of which saw Ye’ break-away from HOV’s TIDAL streaming service in 2017 and mull legal action over (alleged) unpaid royalties.

What’s more, the controversial MC took aim at Jay and wife Beyonce publicly during a concert meltdown; bemoaning The Carters skipping his media circus wedding to Kim Kardashian and the lack of interaction between their children — amongst other grievances.

Unsurprisingly, sans a few not-so-coy-clack-back lyrics on Jigga’s 2017 track ‘Kill Jay-Z’ – there’s been a palpable muteness from both parties about the other since.

That is until now.

As reported, the pair were spotted interacting at Diddy’s 50th birthday bash. And according to a new report, they mended fences before then.

Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s hotly anticipated ‘CATS’ movie pounces onto the big screen this Friday and brings with it a mega-wattage of star-power.

For its theatrical run, the musical has tapped names such as Taylor Swift, James Corden, and Jennifer Hudson – who plays the role of Grizabella. 

The latter means J.Hud has the distinct honor of performing ‘Memory’ – one of the most renown songs from the classic production.

The 2010s permanently changed the Pop music landscape.

From the rise of independent artists to streaming becoming the primary means of consumption and more, the decade simultaneously gifted and cursed the entertainment genre in ways that will undoubtedly be imprinted for years to come.

Yet, while some artists were unable to weather the challenges of the evolving industry, a select few not only navigated the storms but turned the tide to become icons among their generation of musicians. As anticipation builds for the 92nd ceremony, the Academy have announced the shortlist for a number of key categories – a list which notably includes the Best Original Song.

Not to be confused with the nominations, the 15 tracks selected were picked from 75 possible songs eligible in the category.
