Less than two weeks after announcing its 2019 class of ‘Power of Women’ honorees, ‘Variety’s unveiled a stunning line of snaps to celebrate the ladies and their respective achievements in the entertainment industry and beyond via its highly anticipated ‘Power of Women’ issue.
Honoring Jennifer Aniston, Mariah Carey, Awkwafina, Chaka Khan, Brie Larson and Dana Walden, ahead of six hundred guests gathering at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons for the ‘Power of Women’ luncheon on October 11 the mag tapped Peggy Sirota to lens the issue’s feature shoot.
As if that’s not enough, ‘Variety’ adds:
‘This year’s Power of Women issue will contain a feature celebrating Lifetime Television’s 35th anniversary as well as the annual Women’s Impact Report, a report highlighting 50 women in the entertainment industry dedicated to making a lasting impact.’

‘Hung Up’ hitmaker Madonna is temporarily hanging up her dancing shoes after sustaining a knee injury while cranking out the hits on the ‘Madame X’ world tour.
Already disappointing fans by postponing its start date due to a series of ‘technical difficulties’ (as we reported here), now the 61-year-old diva is citing physical difficulties as the cause of its latest delay.

Gucci Mane isn’t one to rest on his laurels, as evidenced by the recent announcement of the October 17th due date of his new project, ‘Woptober II’ (the conceptual sequel to his 2016 mixtape, ‘Woptober’).
Coming just 4 months after his June 2019 album, ‘Delusions of Grandeur’ (which was delivered 6 months after the December 2018-released album ‘Evil Genius’), the work-a-holic has teased fans with a lift from the set courtesy of the Megan Thee Stallion-assisted, ‘Big Booty.’
Sampling a 2 Live Crew classic to do their dirty work, listen inside as the two trade verses over their love for big backsides:
Season 45 of ‘SNL’ continues to rock on with a little help from the year’s top hitmakers.
After last week’s gravity-defying performance from newcomer Billie Eilish (as we reported here), this week Taylor Swift upped the ante with live renditions of selections from her latest chart-topping LP, ‘Lover.’ On her fourth visit to the ‘SNL’ stage, Taylor tapped album cuts ‘Lover’ and ‘False God’ to give fans a true taste of what they can expect to see when she headlines this year’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball tour (click here for dates).
Ahead of that outing, look below to see TayTay do her thing (if you missed the action):
‘Bring ‘Em Out’ hitmaker T.I. brought out the worst in Nicki Minaj fans (affectionately called #Barbz) when he proclaimed the recently retired rapstress did not deserve a slot on the ‘Top 50 Greatest Rappers of All-Time’ tally.
Taking to his podcast, ‘ExpediTIously,’ the 39-year-old waxed honest on his thoughts about Hip Hop’s history-making figures while trying to compile a list of the most noteworthy emcees to ever touch a mic. When the discussion on women’s impact on the genre came forward, the Grammy-winner was adamant Minaj and Lil Kim – two of the most celebrated female rappers in history – did not both deserve listing in the top 50.
“It’s between Lil’ Kim and Nicki [Minaj],” said T.I. “I don’t think we can have both because they are a direct reflection of one another.”
Ultimately deciding on Kim over the Harajuku Barbie, his selection infuriated a number of the ‘Megatron’ maestra’s fans (who took to Twitter in droves to voice their disapproval). See the reactions inside:
Much to the dismay of Iggy Azalea (click here to read why), Lizzo logs another frame atop the Hot 100 with her breakout hit, ‘Truth Hurts.’
Placing her that much closer to tying the all-time record for longest running #1 Rap single by a female (currently held by Azalea’s 2014 hit ‘Fancy’), Liz (born Melissa Jefferson) has yet another week of handsome streaming, digital downloads, and radio airplay to thank for the tune’s ongoing domination of the charts.
