It’s not often the world enjoys iconic pairings akin to that of Mary J. Blige’s and Prince’s.

So, it goes without saying that last night was all too mind blowing for fans at ‘iHeartRadio’, who had the honor of seeing the pair perform together live during Mary’s set.

Performing Prince’s Sinead O’Connor performed ‘Nothing Compares To You’, this performance is definitely one for the books.

Today, From The Vault salutes R&B angel Aaliyah and her smash hit ‘We Need A Resolution’.

Unleashed as the launch single of her 2001 eponymous release, ‘Resolution’ saw the singer collaborating yet again with Pop maestro Timbaland, who – long before sending the likes of Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado to the top of the charts – was a major driving force in the career of his “Baby Girl”

A moderate hit, it still reached the Top 20 of the UK charts and peaked at #15 on the US Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop tally. Yet, what the song is most notorious for is its accompanying video, which houses some of the late singer’s most glorious and iconic looks.

From the dangerous dancing with snakes to the glass-bed levitation, the Paul Hunter-directed MV is an incredible reminder of Ms. Haugton’s status as the then-next big superstar. Unfortunately, as we know, things did not pan out that way…

Just like fellow entertainers such as Amy Winehouse and actor James Dean, who also dissapeared at far too young an age, Aaliyah is regarded today as one of the best to ever do, a title that’ll no doubt continue to be reinforced in years to come. Especially with a new generation of starlets citing her as an inspiration.

Still, we want to ask you:

How do you think Aaliyah’s career would have turned out?

Whichever way you look at it, male entertainer’s don’t get much better than Usher.

Leading the pack for now almost two decades and enjoying recent successes with his ‘Looking For Myself’ LP, the influential vocalist remains one of his genre’s strongest contenders.

Now peep his prove the above during his set at the ‘iHeartRadio’ Festival, where he performed the budding hit ‘Euphoria’ below…

With her first #1 album set to arrive in a few days time, Pink proved her worth as one of Pop’s premium performers at ‘iHeart Radio‘ festival hours ago.

Delivering live renditions of ‘Raise Your Glass’, ‘So What’ and ‘F*cking Perfect‘, it’s her performance of ‘Blow Me’ that we’d say marked one of her better outings.

After peaking at #1 in the UK and Scotland, ‘Facemelt’ starlet Rita Ora has taken her debut LP ‘ORA‘ to Australia, in a bid to push the project in the welcoming market.

Arriving in the country last week, today saw the above snap emerge from her travels- which saw her make nice with a snake in Sydney.

As a result of her trip, the mezzo-soprano now enjoys a #15 chart spot with her launch single ‘RIP’ while its supporting album enjoys a peak position of #24, likely to rise as her global promo efforts intensify.

After rising to fame as one third of Brit trio N-Dubz, Tulisa Contostavlos story thus far has seemingly been an open book to the British public in the last few years.

Opening up on the difficult experiences she shared with her mother in 2010’s ‘My Mum & Me’, fans of the ‘Young’ star may have felt they knew everything there was to know about her…following the arrival of well publicized sex tape earlier this year.

Now, in her forthcoming autobiography billed ‘Honest- My Story So Far’, the vocalist has revealed that she was the victim of a sexual assault in 2004, at the hands of someone she believed to be a friend.

With four days remaining until Rihanna‘s new single Diamonds’ premieres, it appears the singer’s team are beginning to build buzz surrounding its housing album.

A mysterious website, christened ‘Rihanna 7’, went live this evening, bearing the model’s logo made up what seems to be song lyrics. And while little else is known, That Grape Juice can CONFIRM with 100% certainty that the star’s label Island Def Jam are the force behind the site…which begs the question: is Rihanna’s 7th album in as many years titled ‘7’?

If so, we imagine she’s taking notes on numerical project titles from a certain King B.

In any case, exciting times.

A testament to the strength of her talent and material, Jessie J has been working her debut LP ‘Who You Are’ for the better part of 18 months. However, as the age old adage goes, all good things must come to an end. For this campaign, that end arrived last night at the iTunes Festival in London.

Backed by a full band, the Essex-bred powerhouse served up a titillating set of hits from the album as well as cuts from artists who’ve inspired her. This was preceded by a speech which saw her thank the thousands in attendance for supporting her journey, going on to inform them that this would be last time she’d support the project as a body of work as she’s set to start recording album #2.

After watching her performances, we literally can’t wait!

See what we mean with her renditions of  ‘Do It Like A Dude’‘Who You Are’ and Usher’s ‘Climax’ after the jump…
