When it comes to Hot 100 stats, few can boast the chart victories Ed Sheeran can.

One of the best-selling artists of the digital era, the English hitmaker – with hits like ‘Thinking Out Loud,’ ‘Shape of You,’ ‘Perfect,’ and more – has seen his name attached to a number of milestones on the 64-year-old tally including being the first artist to debut multiple songs in the top 10 in the same week and more.

Far from fly-by-night hits, Sheeran’s songs have exhibited some serious staying power over the years – a tenancy that led him to be penciled in Hot 100 record books again recently.

Following a slew of uncharted releases (‘Skyline,’ ‘Last Call,’ ‘Present,’ New Normal,’ and more), last week saw singer-songwriter Khalid score a chart triumph with the Marshmello-led ‘Numb’ – his first Hot 100 top 40 single since 2020’s ‘Be Like That’ with Kane Brown and Swae Lee peaked at #19.

Hoping to make capital of the momentum, the 24-year-old is giving music lovers yet another taste of new music set to line his forthcoming studio album, ‘Everything is Changing,’ via the new song ‘Satellite.’

Produced by Chrome Sparks, the tune likens a fading love to that of a satellite drifting in space.

“Saw the news / All of a sudden left me so confuse,” Khalid croons on the emo track. “They’re tеlling stories that you’re leaving soon / Thеy’ll never know what you’ve been going through, ooh-ooh-ooh.”

Accompanied by a Levi Turner-directed music video, look inside to see K’s futuristic, out-of-this-world ‘Satellite.’

With his new album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ jetting toward its September 30 release date, expect to see much of DDG on screens in support of the forthcoming effort.

And while buzz for the set is growing, thanks in great part to its latest single ‘If I Want You,’ even bigger buzz is brewing for the tune’s co-star – his girlfriend Halle Bailey.

Tapped to play Ariel in the live-action remake of the Disney classic ‘Little Mermaid,’ the 22-year-old sent hearts a-fluttering two weeks ago with the unveiling of the movie’s trailer which features a snippet of her stunning take on the film’s iconic song, ‘Part of Your World.’

And while part of the world is applauding her groundbreaking portrayal of the sea princess, the children’s flick has been inundated with racist criticism for Disney securing a Black actress to assume the role.

Look inside to see how DDG says Bailey’s handling to the negativity ahead of the May 2023 premiere of ‘Mermaid.’
