Over 7 years separate fans of Jussie Smollett from his debut album, 2018’s ‘Sum of My Music,‘ but the wait for a new LP came to a close with the release of ‘Break Out‘ on Tuesday (September 30).

Undoubtedly delayed due to the actor-singer’s legal and personal woes, Smollett is back and better than ever with a 10-song project kicked off by its title track as a lead single.

“This album is incredibly special to me. So much love was put into it, and I hope folks feel that. This music is about freedom. It’s a timeless album filled with love. I think we can all use a lot of that right now,” Smollett said of the new opus.

Acting as his first body of work released on Dallas Austin‘s Rowdy Records, hop inside to stream ‘Break Out’ in full courtesy of Apple Music and Spotify.
