Katy Perry isn’t letting serious bumps on the road of promo hamper her sense of humor.

The Pop performer has been hard at work trying to drum up buzz for her “comeback” album ‘143’ (due September 20).

However, as reported, the results thus far have been…mixed.

Indeed, while corners of her fandom have lapped up lead offering ‘Woman’s World’ and follow-up ‘Lifetimes,’ neither track has set the charts ablaze with the latter missing the Billboard Hot 100 entirely.

There has also been an avalanche of critique leveled against Perry for her producer choices and claims that the ‘Woman’s World’ music video touted feminism while actually catering to the male gaze. She would quickly clarify that the clip was deliberately “slapstick” and “sarcastic.”

Now, she’s doubling down on that matter in her own quirky way.

Chappell Roan has doubled down on her remarks about “boundaries” on her journey in the Pop sphere.

The ‘Good Luck, Babe’ songbird has seen her profile and catalog soar during a year of unprecedented success.

However, she made headlines this week for making a video bemoaning the perceived access fans feel they have to her because of her fame.

Her words sparked a polarizing response with many co-signing her stance and an equal sum critiquing the rising star for complaining about what comes with the territory of notability.

Now, the performer (born Kayleigh Rose Amstutz) shared an open letter reaffirming her position on the matter and expanding on her rationale.

Having already tag-teamed on ‘Love You, F*ck You‘ from the 2020 album ‘Funeral,’ legendary rapper Lil Wayne reunites with Canadian songstress Jessie Reyez – this time for her new song ‘Ridin.’

An alt-Rock influenced cut with elements that have drawn comparisons to the Pixies‘ ‘Where is My Mind,’ ‘Ridin’ sees its performers trading verses about coping with strong desires for a lover’s touch.
