In a surprise twist, social media is collectively bowing down to the Puerto Rican princess after Amber Rose made headlines for a polarizing, Trump-endorsing speech at the Republic National Convention (RNC) on Monday night (July 15).
From naming Nicki Minaj as the greatest female rapper of all time to crowning her hit ‘Super Bass‘ as the greatest female Hip-Hop song ever on its ‘500 Best Pop Songs List,’ Billboard is no stranger to making tongues wag and jaws drop over the years for their polarizing “best-ever” tallies.
That trend is one that continued with their latest list, ‘The 100 Best Rap Albums of All Time,’ which was comprised solely of studio albums and ranked its roster based on commercial performance on Billboard as well as subjective criteria like cultural impact, longevity, and more.
And while the list was expectedly male-dominated (with Nas‘ groundbreaking 1994 LP ‘Illmatic‘ printed at #1), its inclusion of females was undoubtedly noteworthy.

Tinashe enjoys a loyal fanbase of her own, but the star has made no secret of how much of a fan she is of Pop legend Janet Jackson.
A longtime member of the Rhythm Nation, the performer has been vocal about how much of an impact the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has made on her career and artistry.
Nashe even formed part of a dance tribute to Jackson at the BET Awards 2015.
Recently the love returned her way when Ms. Jackson interpolated Tinashe’s hit ‘Nasty’ with her own classic of the same name while performing at the Together Again Tour.
At the latest stop of the trek, the singer – whose new album ‘Quantum Baby’ drops on August 16 – finally met her idol.

Lee Daniels‘ latest film ‘The Deliverance’ is coming to Netflix next month.
And to whet appetites, a titillating trailer has been unleashed.
Led by Academy Award nominee Andra Day, the film chronicles the chaos that surrounds her character Ebony Jackson.
A struggling single mother fighting her personal demons, she moves her family into a new home in hopes of a fresh start.
However, when strange occurrences inside the house raise the suspicions of Child Protective Services and threaten to rip the family apart, Ebony quickly finds herself locked in a battle for her life and the souls of her children.
Bold and genre-defying, the film explores themes of darkness, possession, and discovering a higher power.
Inspired by a true story, ‘The Deliverance’ assembles an all-star cast including Day, Glenn Close, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Caleb McLaughlin, and Mo’Nique – who reunites with Daniels on the project (following ‘Precious’).
