The star also shared that she and her BeyGood charity had already been working directly with entities in on the ground in Lagos to end the terror caused by controversial police division, SARS.

Still, despite her efforts, select corners have been critiquing the singer’s every word, move, and more.

Shock and dismay has spread worldwide after scenes of police brutality in Nigeria went viral.

Already deemed #BlackTuesdayNigeria, the globe has watched on in horror as innocent, peaceful protestors were shot dead by officials in Lekki — simply for demanding the end of SARS (a forceful and corrupt police division).

Now, a growing of names – including Rihanna and Nicki Minaj – are uniting as one voice with Nigerians to call for the end of the violence.

As the last few weeks have seen Tik Tok users draw more and more attention to his ‘Whoomp! There It Is’-sampling breakthrough single, ‘Whole Lotta Choppas,’ relative newcomer Sada Baby seemed poise to finally make an impact on the Hot 100 – a potential underscored by Nicki Minaj‘s recent contribution to the remix of the burgeoning hit (click here to listen).

That is, until Twitter sleuths uncovered a slew of misogynistic and homophobic tweets from the Detroit rapper’s account.

At first unapologetic about the find as fans began making a whole lotta noise about his disrespectful 2011 commentary, his unrepentant response only further ignited backlash.

Tory Lanez is under fire after being charged for shooting Megan Thee Stallion on the ight he was originally arrested for gun possession.

In the immediate frame that followed the July 12 incident, the Canadian maintained a measured silence which he eventually broke by way of controversial album ‘DAYSTAR.’

Now, though, after being formally charged in relation to the act, he has spoken up to defend himself on Instagram Live.

Beyonce has spoken up and out against the shocking police brutality in Nigeria.

As widely reported, there has been both national and international outrage at the government’s controversial police division, which has been deemed corrupt and criminal in and of itself.

Protests have been plentiful, with the masses mobilizing worldwide to demand change.

However, the situation escalated in earnest today in Lekki, when innocent protesters were shot and killed.

With the world in collective shock, Beyonce joined Naija stars such as WizKid and Davido in using her platform to demand urgent change; change she has been working on prior to now behind the scenes and at direct level.

A day before releasing his long-awaited EP, ‘Closer to Mars,’ right here on Earth, Mario unleashed the music video to its housed tune, ‘Pretty Mouth Magick,’ to praise the out-of-this-world bedroom prowess of his lady lovers.

Using a self-directed accompanying music video to further drive home the concept of the song, in the visual the 34-year-old is surrounded by some talented (and flexible) ladies as he coos the tune’s provocative lyrics.

“I know your wonderin’, what all the talk is / You heard what she said, but I really do it / Swallow the whole thing, make it a challenge / Invite your girl friend, make me a sandwich,” wails the GRAMMY-nominated crooner.

Much to the delight of her growing legion of fans, Doja Cat pulled double duty on late TV Monday night (October 19).

In addition to rocking ‘The Tonight Show’ alongside Bebe Rexha (as we reported here), the 25-year-old was spotted turning up with Ozuna to perform their joint hit, ‘Del Mar,’ on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

While Sia (who is featured on the song’s recorded version) was not on-hand for the performance, Doja and Ozuna certainly made do without her via their live adaptation of the tune’s aquatic music video.

Following the successes of BLACKPINK (‘Light Up the Sky’), Beyoncé (‘Homecoming’), Lady Gaga (‘Five Foot Two’), and Taylor Swift‘s(‘Miss Americana’) respective Netflix ventures, Shawn Mendes is the latest Pop star to nab his own documentary with the streaming giant.

Titled ‘In Wonder,’ the Grant Singer-directed film (due November 23) is not only set to chronicle the Canadian hitmaker’s meteoric rise to fame but also give a sneak peek at the creation of his new album, ‘Wonder’ (due on shelves December 4).

Star-studded doesn’t even begin to describe the tracklist for Ty Dolla $ign‘s long-awaited third album, ‘Featuring Ty Dolla $ign.’

A play on the crooner’s lengthy discography of acting as assistant on some of Hip Hop & R&B’s most memorable bangers from the last few years, the 38-year-old is reversing the role for his new LP (due October 23 via Atlantic Records).
