Rap Queen Nicki Minaj delivered a royal surprise to her beloved fans (affectionately called #Barbz) when the clock struck midnight on Wednesday (September 24).
Nearly 15 years after dropping her last album, 2010’s ‘No Boys Allowed,’ GRAMMY-nominated songstress Keri Hilson delivered the set’s long-awaited follow-up in April.
Christened ‘We Need to Talk: Love,’ the project came after Hilson reported years of false starts, personal struggles, and professional setbacks and was announced as the first of a three-part installment.
Keeping her word, the R&B diva delivered the ‘Love’ successor – ‘We Need to Talk: Drama‘ – this month. A six-song effort, the second opus boasts fellow Atlanta natives Young Thug and Pastor Troy as its only features.

The Tik Tok time machine has given an extended lifeline to yet another jam from yesteryear, and this time it’s Rihanna‘s fan-favorite ‘Breakin Dishes’ from 2007’s ‘Good Girl Gone Bad.’
After becoming the first solo Hot 100 top 40 hit of her career, Kehlani‘s ‘Folded‘ continues to unfold new ground for the R&B diva including being her longest-charting placement on the tally.
This week the song soared to #29 – marking her inaugural entry into the all-genre chart’s top 30 and highest-charting smash to date.
Its staying power is not only due to Kehlani’s own critically acclaimed remix, ‘(un)Folded,’ but also in great part to the viral response it’s enjoyed courtesy of fans flooding social media with soaring covers.
Even celebrity admirers of the cut like K’s idol Brandy have rocked the net with adventurous takes on the heartbreaking tune.
The latest of the latter class is the R&B diva’s gal pal JoJo who took to Instagram on Tuesday (September 23) to showcase her fiery take on ‘Folded.’ Hear it inside.
As JT learned, BIA wasn’t the only femcee Cardi B reignited beef with thanks to the release of her long-awaited sophomore album ‘Am I the Drama‘ on Friday (September 19).
In fact, Cardi (born Belcalis Almanzar) not only took aim at the City Girls star but also her famous rapper boyfriend Lil Uzi Vert via the LP’s track ‘Magnet.’
“She just mad she got a n***a she be sharin’ bags with / My n***a cheat, but I don’t stick no dildos in his ass, b***h / You look a hot mess, easily impressed-ass b*tch / You never gave looks, you started getting dressed-ass b***h,” Almanzar rapped in the song over Pooh Beatz production.
After tweeting and deleting a clap back referring to Cardi as a “guitar body” with a “PH balance that will fry whole fish,” JT returned to X (formerly known as Twitter) on Tuesday (September 23) with another stinging response – this time taking aim at Almanzar’s boyfriend and baby father Stefon Diggs.
Cardi B continues to crush the competition with her new album, ‘Am I The Drama?’
Easily one of the year’s most buzzed-about releases, the project looks poised to fly in atop the Billboard 200 with major numbers.
Well, now it looks like Belcalis is set to tower taller than initial forecasts anticipated.
