In what came as his first single release since scoring a top 40 Billboard 200 placement with July’s ‘ADHD 2′ album, rapper Joyner Lucas gave his fans quite the surprise earlier this month when he dropped the music video for his latest single ‘NVM‘ featuring GRAMMY-winning singer and actress Mya.

An emotional clip that sees the two trade verses about the ups and downs of love, the R&B diva’s vocals are not featured in the song but she acts out the lyrics delivered from a woman’s perspective.

“I’m not in love with him no more the way I once was / I wonder if he feel the same,” mouths Mya as Joyner sleeps. “It’s like our light was going dim and now it’s unplugged / And I doubt that it will ever change.”

Directed by Lucas, the visual comes as a simple yet gripping take on a couple accepting the demise of their romance.

On repeat here at TGJ HQ since its September 5 arrival, hop inside to get reacquainted with ‘NVM.’

Six months after The Weeknd‘s last studio effort, ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow,’ opened atop the Billboard 200 with his biggest first-week sales yet, he’s undoubtedly hoping to bump the LP back to the top of the chart thanks to some unexpected releases of fan-favorite bonus tracks.

Responding to ample demand for a wider streaming release for cuts ‘Closing Night’ and ‘Society,‘ the former – which features Swedish House Mafia – was only available via the Pharrell Williams and Japanese editions of ‘Tomorrow’ while the Max Martin-produced latter landed on the ‘00XO‘ edition.

Both tunes arrived to YouTube within the last week and can be heard in full inside.

Barely two weeks after introducing music lovers to her new single ‘Tell Her,’ R&B diva Ella Mai has lifted the official music video for the Mustard-produced tune.

Featuring interpolation of Destiny’s Child‘s 1999 classic ‘Say My Name,’ ‘Tell’ tells the tale of a woman demanding her lover keep it all the way real about his former flings.

“But if your ex think she can call your phone / You better tell her you love me, put no one above me / Say my name, say my name (tell her you love me) / Ain’t finna play no games, it’s time to make it plain / Boy, don’t be acting strange,” Mai croons on the song’s chorus.

Bringing the tune to life courtesy of a visual directed by Cole Santiago, hop inside to see the action.
