Selena Gomez‘s search for a boyfriend led her to the studio to record the announcement and include it on the recently released deluxe edition of her latest album, ‘Rare.’

Released Thursday (April 9), Gomez sent fans into a frenzy with news her song – ‘Boyfriend’ – would see its accompanying music video premiered the next day.  Dishing on the tune, the singer-actress said:

“It’s a lighthearted song about falling down and getting back up time and time again in love, but also knowing that you don’t need anyone other than yourself to be happy. We wrote it long before our current crisis, but in the context of today, I want to be clear that a boyfriend is no where near the top of my list of priorities. Just like the rest of the world, I’m praying for safety, unity, and recovery during this pandemic.”

Raven Symone and Kiely Williams haven’t appeared on-screen together in over decade. But that all changed tonight when the ‘Cheetah Girls’ stars engaged in an Instagram Live…together.

It’s a move that shocked many, given recent headlines centered around Williams allegedly trying to “out” Symone when working together in the past.

And while the former host of ‘The View’ denied that story, she didn’t shy away from the issues she has with the 3LW “firecracker” (her words).

The candid chat saw the ladies delve into their differences and at one point even saw Symone encourage Williams to mend fences with ex-bandmate Adrienne Bailon.

Nearly two decades after first topping Pop and Urban charts with their joint hits ‘Yeah!’ and ‘Lovers and Friends’ respectively, Atlantan hitmakers Usher, Lil Jon, and Ludacris reunite for round 3 courtesy of their new song, ‘SexBeat.’

Produced by Jermaine Dupri, the slow jam definitely brings the bedroom boom courtesy of its bumping bass and sensual lyrics.

“I’m trying to hit it all / From your head to your heart / Tryin’ to steal your soul / How much deeper can I go / I painted pictures in my mind / Tonight I’m bringing them to life,” croons Ush.

After inciting the worst run-in with the FCC in entertainment history thanks to his controversial 2004 Super Bowl performance with Janet Jackson, Pop super Justin Timberlake reveals he ruffled the organization’s feathers again just two years later with the hilarious ‘SNL’ sketch, ‘D*ck in a Box.’

Hot on the promo trail in support of his forthcoming film, ‘Trolls World Tour’ (due April 10), the Grammy winner took to YouTube series, ‘Hot Ones,’ to dish on his favorite albums from his discography, working with big names like Timbaland, Rihanna, and much more before addressing his Emmy-winning duet with Andy Samberg.

“I heard ‘Climax,’ that Usher song, and was like, ‘Holy f**k, that’s a Weeknd song.’ It was very flattering” – words delivered by The Weeknd in a recent interview with Variety (click here to read).

Adding to the quote above, the Grammy winner (born Abel Tesfaye) asserted hearing the similarities to his music (namely his 2011 song ‘House of Balloons’) made him ‘angry’ – a sentiment echoed by his fans once he came under attack for implying the R&B veteran would copy him.

His suggestion was given credence Thursday (April 8) when Diplo, the producer of ‘Climax,’ pinpointed Tesfaye’s early work as one of his sources of inspiration when creating the tune (click here to read that).

With his Twitter mentions blowing up, the ‘Blinding Lights’ hitmaker took to social media to clear the air by declaring his comments were taken out of context.

Once mum on topics related to her romantic life, ‘Unbreak My Heart’ hitmaker Toni Braxton has broken her silence about her relationship to music mogul Birdman (born Bryan Williams) in a big way.

‘I Feel It Comin’ crooner The Weeknd felt Usher‘s 2012 hit, ‘Climax,’ was strangely similar to some of the music he’d created the year prior – namely his 2011 song, ‘House of Balloons.’

In a tell-all interview with Variety (as we reported here), the 30-year-old asserted his entry into the Pop music realm not only changed the genre but also influenced the work of a number of artists whose works followed.

But, while Elijah Blake – the man credited with writing the lyrics to the Usher song in question – took to social media Wednesday (April 8) to slam the notion of copying (click here to read more on that), Diplo (the tune’s producer) is siding with Weeknd (like we reported here).

Once Dip’s comments got to the desk of Blake, the singer-songwriter had a fiery response.  See it inside:
