Despite entering the Hot 100 just a month ago as her highest debut to date (click here to read), Megan Thee Stallion‘s ‘B.I.T.C.H.’ has already slipped completely out of the tally as it’s absent from this week’s refreshed edition.

That tide may very well turn thanks to its scorching music video lifted just moments ago.

Directed by Eif Rivera, the visual sees the 25-year-old’s newest alter ego, ‘Suga,’ take center stage – a timely affair to coincide with the release of her newest EP of the same name (click here to stream).

It’s been over two years since Jhené Aiko fans have been able to boast ownership of a new studio album from the 31-year-old, but the wait ended Friday (March 6) with the arrival of her third LP, ‘Chilombo.’ An ode to her family name, the set’s title derives from the singer’s full moniker (Jhené Aiko Efuru Chilombo).

A 20-track affair, the effort was first brought to public consciousness via the R&B hits “Triggered (freestyle)” and “P*$$y Fairy (OTW)” before treating fans with the Future and Miguel-assisted “Happiness Over Everything.”  The latter houses just two of many high profile features on ‘Chilombo’ as it also boasts appearances from boyfriend Big Sean, H.E.R., John Legend,  Nas, Ty Dolla $ign, her father, Dr. Chill, and many more.

Nothing sweetens the taste of victory like a hint of suga;  just ask Megan Thee Stallion.

The 25-year-old, who’s been in the middle of a media whirlwind thanks to an ongoing legal battle with her record label, 1501 Certified Entertainment (click here to read more), was granted a green light from a Texas judge to release her long-awaited ‘Suga’ project after the imprint attempted to block it.

Boasting the top 40 single ‘B.I.T.C.H.,’ the EP – once branded her official debut studio album – made its arrival to digital shelves Friday (March 6).  Coming as her first full body of work since 2019’s ‘Fever’ mixtape put her on the map, ‘Suga’ will ultimately serve as the Rap diva’s truest test of commercial viability as it follows the success of her breakout hit, the Nicki Minaj-assisted ‘Hot Girl Summer.’

Having penned hits for the likes of many-an-R&B crooner including Usher, Mario, and more, singer-songwriter Elijah Blake – a  lauded performer himself – doesn’t take it lightly when people appoint themselves honorific titles in the genre.

Case in point?  Jacquees.

Setting headlines alight in late 2018 when he crowned himself R&B’s leading male monarch (a point he reiterated by titling his sophomore album ‘King of R&B’), the announcement not only garnered criticism but also ridicule from some of R. Kelly, Keith Sweat, and Usher‘s staunchest supporters.

To double down on the fan sentiment, Blake – just a day before Quees’ hometown touch down for the final date of his ‘King of R&B Tour’ – took to Keyshia Cole‘s Fox Soul talk show, ‘One on One,’ to tell viewers the ‘B.E.D.’ singer’s imaginary reign is limited solely to a fast food chain.
