Christmas is coming early for Mariah Carey and fans.

The Pop diva, whose enduring holiday classic ‘All I Want for Christmas’ has become an anthem synonymous with the season’s arrival, has been burning up streaming and digital download platforms with the song since early November.

And, while the tune’s annual ascension on Billboard charts is by no means a surprise, now – just a day after learning its parent album, ‘Merry Christmas,’ cracked the Billboard 200’s top 10 again – the Walter Afanasieff-co-written cut has snipped out the competition to land at #3 on this week’s Hot 100 (mirroring last year’s re-peak).

25 years after its debut, ‘Christmas’ could claim Billboard’s top spot in the coming weeks. See what why inside:

As we reported here, The Weeknd‘s recently released duo of singles – ‘Heartless’ and ‘Blinding Lights’ – were out of the box successes.

Zooming to the top of real-time iTunes sales and Spotify streaming charts, the songs respectively dominated competition on the tallies ahead of the release of their accompanying visuals.  The former saw that dominance cemented courtesy of a boost from its Anton Tammi-directed music video and mind-bending live performance last week on ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ (click here to read).

Now, thanks to the aforementioned (alongside a warm reception from radio), the Metro Boomin-produced track has become the singer’s fourth Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper.  Details inside:

Despite garnering a whopping 16 nominations at the 71st annual Primetime Emmy Awards earlier this year, Ava DuVernay‘s Netflix miniseries – ‘When They See Us’ – received no recognition from The Hollywood Foreign Press Association when the organization announced the nominees for the 2020 Golden Globes on Monday (December 9).

The film, which tells the true story of five African American teens wrongfully convicted of the rape and assault of a jogger in New York’s Central Park in the late 80’s, was lauded by viewers and critics alike for its gripping content and outstanding acting. Now, thanks to the apparently none-too-impressed Golden Globes committee’s omission of the title from their list of nods, many are taking to social media to express their disappointment for its absence and the overall lack of racial diversity among this year’s class of nominees.

After quite the campaign, Camila Cabello‘s sophomore album ‘Romance’ was unwrapped last Friday.

The set, which was preceded by a slew of singles, was greeted with mixed reviews.

Indeed, some took to the clearly carved for radio cuts such as the chart-topping Shawn Mendes collab ‘Senorita’ and ‘My Oh My’ featuring Da Baby. Yet others bemoaned the otherwise lack of clear hits on the largely mid-tempo/ballad-heavy set.

Now, as Cabello aims to elevate from solo hopeful to bonafide Pop darling, all eyes are on what the project’s commercial debut is on course to deliver.

Well, wonder no more because the first week predictions for ‘Romance’ await below…

Lizzo is going all out in her push for “new” single ‘Good As Hell.’

With unorthodox defining the singer’s success, the release serves as one of her story’s most unique chapters.

For, the song was originally released in 2016 and placed on the ‘Barbershop: The Next Cut’ during her rise.

Following the chart-topping run of another previously released cut (‘Truth Hurts’), ‘Good As Hell’ has received a huge boost and now looks like a serious contender for the top spot too.

With the help of an Ariana Grande assisted remix, the song has thus far peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Now, with the arrival of an all-new video (there was an original), the Houston native is in the running for a major streaming boost.
