Tank may have dropped jaws in 2022 when he announced his tenth studio album, ‘R&B Money,‘ would mark his final LP, but this week he dropped jaws for a different reason: an unexpected return to the music scene.

Tapping Fabolous to assist on the new single ‘Before We Get Started,’ the tune sees the 5x GRAMMY nominee sing about easing the worries of a would-be love interest.

“And before we get started / I know your heart is guarded, I know, ooh / Dealin’ with that tender love / Body to body to body / Girl, anywhere, I want you there,” Tank sings on the electric track.

At the time of its Friday (March 8) release, the singer-songwriter did not confirm what larger project ‘Before’ is attached to.

Ahead of what’s expected to be its live performance debut ahead of Saturday’s ‘SNL‘ (March 9), Ariana Grande‘s dropped the official music video for her latest single ‘We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love).’

Coming just hours after the tune’s premiere as part of the Friday (March 8) unveiling of her seventh studio album, ‘Eternal Sunshine,’ the ‘Friends’ visual sees Grande showing off her acting chops while crooning touching lyrics about self-acceptance and yearning for a love that may never be.

“We can’t be friends / But I’d like to just pre-tend / You cling to your papers and pens / Wait until you like me again / Wait for your love / My love, I’ll wait for your love,” she sings on the Max Martin-produced chorus.

Tems performs at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards

Tems brought the house down at the 2024 Billboard Women In Music Awards. 

The Nigerian singer-songwriter took the stage at the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California to perform the song. Adorned in a white bedazzled hooded dress and with props like smoke she sizzled with her performance of the song.

‘Not An Angel’ was the latest song to be released by the singer and was released at the tail end of the year last year. She also shared the song ‘Me & U’ last year as well.

Tems is expected to release her debut album later this year. However, in the meantime, check out her performance at the Billboard Women In Music Awards.
