We’re pretty sure standing still is the last thing rap duo Rae Sremmurd were doing when they found out the viral mannequin challenge shot their latest single, ‘Black Beatles,’ all the way to the top of charts.  As we reported here, the Gucci Mane-assisted tune is nestled into the #1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 this week – a move that abruptly ended the long-lasting reign of The Chainsmokers’ hit tune ‘Closer.’

However, to the surprise of many, the song not only comes as Sremmurd’s inaugural chart-topper but also the first of its producer, MIKE WILL MADE IT.  MIKE, whose resume lists hits from the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Future, Lil Wayne, and many more, has never seen any of his wealth of hits top the Hot 100…until now.

Tuck in below to see who else joins Rae and Mike on the refreshed TGJ Chart Check this week:

As one of the world’s most monumental mega-stars, Beyonce has mastered the art of not just making music – but making “moments.”

One of her most profound was unleashed this February in the form of ‘Formation.’

An unapologetic celebration of her Blackness (and that of millions the world over), the cut and its accompanying video drew both praise and critique. That Grape Juice caught up with one of the song’s primary writers – Swae Lee from duo Rae Sremmurd – at the 2016 BET Awards and quizzed him on what it was like working with the Queen Bey on the track.

See what he had to say above and peep the award-winning video for ‘Formation’ below…
