BET presents the 2018 Soul Train Awards next month, so what better way to incite excitement than to reveal the official list of nominations?!

Two years after its release, Bruno Mars’ ’24k Magic’ project is still all sorts of popping thanks to hits such as ‘Finesse (ft. Cardi B)’ and a mammoth tour – which is still on-going.

Elsewhere, H.E.R has emerged as one of R&B’s definitive new break-out stars.

It’s fitting then that the pair lead with the most amount of nominations – both nabbing six.

Other names on the nominee list include icons such as Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Beyonce, as well as emerging stars ala Ella Mai and Daniel Caesar.

The seeds of self-hatred have borne ugly fruit in the life one of African-American lady who believes that she is really a white woman.

Disgusted by her own heritage and people (who she believes are ugly) Ms. Treasure is convinced that- despite the fact that she is black- is Caucasian and detests African-Americans so much that she is tempted to join the murderous Ku Klux Klan if they “offered me a hood.”

Music and technology converged in a unique way Wednesday evening at Mobvoi’s #LookUpLondon event.

Hosted on the rooftop of the plush Ace Hotel, the elaborate gathering saw the innovative brand unveil a number of new products (including the TicPods Free headphones). Moreover, it was the first ever tech launch with a mobile phone ban.

The rationale? To encourage people to embrace their surroundings and live in the moment!

And guests were more than ready to adhere once performer Gabrielle Aplin took to the stage to perform a rousing 30 minute set.

After fooling fans into believing she had bleached her skin, Spice dropped the song and music video she employed the publicity stunt to generate attention for.

Black Hypocrisy.

In it, the globally recognised Jamaican icon celebrates her African beauty and condemns those who uphold colorism and seek to fool black girls women into hating their G0d-given melanin.

The video and its message are now global and, much to the star’s delight, has garnered over 1.3 million views on Youtube less than 24 hours after its epic unveiling.

Lauren Jauregui sent fans into a frenzy today with the release of her debut solo single ‘Expectations.’

And while the soulful offering currently sits at #6 on US iTunes, the 22-year-old Fifth Harmony star isn’t resting on her laurels. Instead, she’s pounding the promotional pavement – with her latest stop being MTV‘s TRL.

While chopping it up with host Sway Calloway, Jauregui opened up about her upcoming album, which will be arriving via Columbia Records.

Interestingly, she revealed that the as yet untitled set will not house any features – although she asserts that guest stints on other artist songs are in her future.

Danity Kane are proving that ‘The Universe Is Undefeated’ with their surprise tour of the same name.

Indeed, when the group imploded for the second time in 2014 following their much-hyped reunion, it looked like all hope was lost for another re-teaming.

However, in a testament to “never say never,” Dawn Richard, Aubrey O’Day, and Shannon Bex are back and showing that they’ve not missed  beat.

Currently promoting the Stateside trek, their latest stop was iHeartRadio where they kept it all sorts of real.

The trio opened up about their struggles during previous runs – including the distrust they say was planted by outside male forces.

Dawn and Aubrey expounded on their 8-hour reconciliation (which we EXCLUSIVELY reported on earlier this year), while Shannon waxed honest about the challenges her marriage has experienced on the DK journey.

Excitingly, the ladies also hinted at the possibility of new music – which would be their first since the ‘Lemonade’ led ‘DK3.’
