Beyond shutting down body shamers who’d begun spreading rumors she was pregnant with her third child (click here to read more), Christina Aguilera took to Twitter to ease fan fears surrounding the status of her current era (tour, new singles, etc.).

As has been widely reported, June 2018’s ‘Liberation’ – Aguilera’s first album in six years – was greeted with critical acclaim only to disappear from the Billboard 200 just 3 weeks after its debut.  However, in a recent Twitter Q&A with her fans (whom she’s affectionately christened #Fighters), the Grammy-winner reasserts her decision to avoid “chart chasing” (click here to read more) and reminds she’s already hard at work on the album’s follow-up.

Much like Beyonce, former Fifth Harmony star Normani not only found her roots in a girl group, but also emerged from the composite as a fiery performer that’s left stages lit from killer choreography, sex appeal, and undeniable stage presence.

Because of the similarities some of the latter’s fans have already begun christening her the second coming of the Queen Bey – a comparison ‘Mani recently told ‘Fader’ is flattering yet undue.

“It’s flattering but I definitely have room to grow and improve. I want to work for my spot. It’s not fair that I’m the next Beyoncé just yet. But I hope to become that,” she said.

This, due in large part to the fact the 22-year-old’s debut album has yet to arrive.  However, given the list of heavy-hitting producers and songwriters set to line its credits list (see:  Missy Elliott, Boi-1da, Danja, Ester Dean, The Dream, DJ Mustard, and more), it’s easy to see how and why industry analysts and fans alike are forecasting the set to be a major breakthrough toward the young singer’s goal of being ‘the next Beyonce.’

Until then, look inside for more interesting quotes from ‘Mani and see her sizzling Thomas Richard McCarty-curated shots from the mag:

Yikes! ‘Still Tippin’ emcee Slim Thug has tipped right on over to the bad side of the C-Squad (singer Ciara‘s beloved fan base) after he asserted in a recent radio interview the Grammy-winner’s marriage to footballer Russell Wilson was a sham.

Referencing her dating track record prior to her marriage to the Seahawks star (the couple recently celebrated their 2 year anniversary), Slim Thugga was not shy with his suggestion that the union was more of a move for ‘financial stability’ by Cici.

Needless to say his statements set off a firestorm of clap backs from the C-Squad across his social media platforms.  Look inside to hear the quotes that got them all fired up:
