Azealia Banks continues to polarize the public with her antics. However, one thing is a cert – she’s powering ahead on her own.

After being dropped from Interscope Records and releasing debut ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’ as an indie offering, the rapper recently inked a deal with EOne for the release of new album ‘Fantasea II.’

However, perhaps deterred by the performance (or lack-thereof of the project’s preceding singles), Banks has…well…bounced. And, as predicted, not without

While some of the offerings from Zayn Malik‘s yet-titled sophomore album – the follow-up to 2016’s chart-topping ‘Mind of Mine’ – have managed to crack the top 20 on the U.K. side of the pond, Stateside the releases haven’t fared nearly as well.

Not even breaking into the top 40 on the Hot 100, none of the tunes (to date) have managed to drum up the buzz cuts found aboard his inaugural LP boasted.  That could all change thanks to ‘Too Much’ – Malik’s forthcoming release featuring superproducer Timbaland at the helm.

“Felt good, but now I feel bad. Like I know I can’t take it back. No there’s nothing I can say,” he sings over Timbo’s trademark stylings.  But, will it be enough to ignite genuine interest in the crooner’s soon-to-drop second album?

While Bow Wow is no stranger to online controversy due to a number of outbursts and rants over the past few years, his most recent meltdown sent shockwaves as he announced a desire to quit the music industry, give away all his money, and begin a career at the GameStop – a popular video game retailer.

Taking to social media yesterday (July 30) in a series of now deleted postings, the rapper (born Shad Moss) slammed ‘hateful gossip sites’ and announced:

Beyond the announcement above, Moss made repeated mentions of wanting to visit his therapist and referred to himself as ‘the most hated artist in the world.’  And, as if those cries for help weren’t enough, he dropped a bombshell on fans when he revealed his intentions of pulling out of mentor Jermaine Dupri‘s recently announced 25th anniversary So So Def tour.  Details inside:

It’s a great time to be Janet Jackson right now.

At 52, the pop icon is proving herself to be hot as ever with a whirlwind touring itinerary, headlining a number of world renown festivals (including ‘Essence Festival’ and a recent stop at New York City’s ‘Panorama Festival’ as we reported here), and now the filming of a new music video.

A year after hitting #1 with her comeback album, ‘Rainbow,’ singer Kesha is still looking to shine light on the set – her first since her highly documented legal battle with former producer/mentor Dr. Luke.

Looking to give fans a closer look at her life, the creation process of the project, and more, Kesha’s teamed with Apple music for ‘Rainbow – the Film.’  Shot in a documentary style a la Lady Gaga‘s ‘Five Foot Two,’ Demi Lovato‘s ‘Simply Complicated,’ and more, the 31-year-old took to Twitter recently (July 30) to announce the flick as a commemoration of the first year anniversary of its parent album’s release.  This, after taking to Billboard to say:

“Making Rainbow the album was such a therapeutic process and given the opportunity to turn it into a three-dimensional piece of art has helped me find even deeper healing and catharsis,” she stated. She added hopes that the release will have a larger impact on those who follow along.”

Later, she added:

“I hope this film inspires others to never give up even if you feel full of hurt or lost, because after the storm comes a rainbow. Depression, anxiety and mental illness are things we all need to talk about more, and there is no shame in asking for help. Making the decision to work on yourself is the bravest thing you can do…”
