Two years after first waving “hello” to the Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Good Morning Gorgeous‘ – the title track to her GRAMMY-nominated 2022 album – Mary J. Blige is undoubtedly looking for a similar commercial welcome to her forthcoming single ‘Breathing.’

JT is keeping it all sorts of candid about her journey to solo stardom.
And she’s not side-stepping the challenging moments on that path.
Hot on the promotional trail for her first project, ‘City Cinderella,’ the femcee stopped by the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast to dish on her transition from the City Girls to her solo trajectory.
During the chat, JT revealed that it was the underperformance of the group’s last album, ‘R.A.W,’ that ignited her move to go it alone.
Released in 2023, the set opened with 10,000 copies first week and, per JT, caused for no bookings “on the calendar.” The underperformance, she says, necessitated a shift and that’s what she embarked on.

Jesy Nelson broke down in tears while emotionally reflecting on the tougher corners of her journey in music.
The former Little Mix star has teamed up with her boyfriend Zion Foster to release new single ‘Mine,’ following a hiatus from the spotlight.
Since leaving the group before its disbandment in 2021, Nelson’s solo run has been quite the rollercoaster.
Indeed, what initially began with promise in the form of her top 5 single ‘Boyz’ with Nicki Minaj quickly lost its momentum when a public backlash erupted over “blackfishing” allegations.
Nelson would end up splitting with her major label within a mere matter of months and embark on an indie journey – only to release just one song prior to this point.
Recalibrating, the 33-year-old is on the promotional trail for her comeback offering and seized the moment to get candid during a fan Q&A.

Jade Thirlwall keeps the ‘Angel of My Dreams’ party pulsating with the release of a remix helmed by The Blessed Madonna.
The Little Mix star flew into the top 10 of the Official UK Singles Chart with her debut offering and earned a wave of critical acclaim for her high-octane cut.
Rather than rest on her laurels, the rising solo star has been serving up fresh incarnations of the infectious cut.
Speaking on the release, Thirlwall said:
“I didn’t want to do a safe first single, that was really important to me. I’m setting the tone of who I am as an artist on my own. I want people to hear it and be like ‘what the fuck is that song?’. My worst nightmare is for someone to hear my song and go ‘that’s nice’.”

Interestingly, the entire episode occurred in March and yet only surfaced publicly last week.
And, while both Nida and Almufti have attempted to pass off the episode as a mere misunderstanding, the drama is intensifying in the wake of Nida’s mugshot being unveiled.

Having watched her ‘Legs‘ walk her straight into critical acclaim and increased anticipation for her first new album in 15 years, legendary singer-actress Vanessa Williams is looking to keep running on that momentum by unveiling the tune’s follow-up: ‘Bop.’
Tapping real-life daughter and fellow music superstar Jillian Hervey (of LION BABE) and ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race‘ star Trixie Mattel to assist, the trio delivered a House-inspired cut that certainly lives up to its moniker.
“Follow mother to the door / I’ll meet you inside by the floor / That’s what I came here for / They told me the kids need a bop / I’ll bring the bop,” Vanessa sings on the chorus of the Mel Holder and Kipper Jones-produced tune.
