Five years may have separated fans of Janelle Monae from a studio album, but that wait came to an end on April 27th thanks to ‘Dirty Computer.’  Preceded by the critically acclaimed cuts ‘I Like That,’ ‘Make Me Feel,’ ‘Django Jane,’ ‘Pynk,’ and a short film, ‘Computer’ comes as the eclectic singer’s first project to be completely devoid of the “Cindy Mayweather” narrative.

Applauded for its brazen subject matter – namely songs that circulate around sexual freedom and feminism – promotion of the effort also saw Monae make headlines for officially “coming out of the closet” as pansexual (click here to read more).  Yet, while the artist found her name listed atop a number of talking points on social media and news media, ‘Computer’s content – given all its critical fanfare – has not exactly seen that recognition mirrored commercially.  Among the set’s singles, ‘Feel’ is the only one to crack the Hot 100 and, as of time reported, has peaked at #99.

Curious to know if the nonperformance of its leading trio of tunes had any bearing on the LP’s anticipated first week commercial showing?  Look inside to see:

Destiny’s Child fans are still abuzz after seeing the trio crown the two weekend-long Coachella festival with a headline-dominating reunion.

Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams took to the showing to not only crank out some of their most memorable hits, but to also show viewers they – with over 20 years in the game and having made their respective solo stamps on the industry – still have “it” in abundance as a group. Now, as demand for a new DC3 album reaches its highest height, Williams – on a media tour to dish about her solo happenings (including a recently publicized engagement to Pastor Chad Johnson) – has also hit a number of outlets to discuss how the Coachella reunion came to be (as we reported here).

Most recently taking to ‘The Real,’ resident host Loni Love made no secret of her fandom of the super girl-group and asked flat out:  when is the reunion tour?  Look inside to hear Michelle’s answer…

NSYNC were immortalized today on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame!

Leads Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez were joined by bandmates Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and Chris Kirkpatrick as the group were honored with the coveted star.

It marks the first time the Pop demigods (who dominated the 90s/early 00s music landscape) have regrouped since performing together during JT’s Video Vanguard medley at the MTV VMAs 2013.

The ceremony was watched by a number of notable names including Ellen DeGeneres, Jessica Biel, and Carson Daly (who was ever-present during NSYNC’s TRL era heyday).

With several of the group’s members going on record to stress that new music isn’t on the cards, fans ought to savour the moment.

As if the heat on Bill Cosby wasn’t already hot enough in the days leading to his sexual assault conviction (click here to read more on that), the comedy legend has seen some of that heat intensified in the days that have followed.

Cosby, 80, was ordered to house arrest and fitted with a GPS monitor after the guilty verdict was rendered on three counts of “felony indecent aggravated assault” following a 2004 incident.  Though permitted to leave his house to meet with lawyers and seek any medical treatment, the embattled star must otherwise remain in the confines of his Philadelphia home until news arrives of his official sentencing (which could be up to 10 years per count).

With the news continuing the dominate headlines well over the weekend into this week, a number of colleges and universities who once celebrated the comedy pioneer for his support of education and the advancement of the arts began announcing their intent to rescind the honorary degrees bestowed to him.

Said revocation is just the beginning his new woes:
