The #Beyhive have yet to cool their attack on Grammy winning R&B vet Monica after the songstress “liked” a comment that subtly shaded Blue Ivy, the eldest daughter of Beyonce.

It all started when fellow R&B diva, Ciara, took to Instagram to show off a picture of her son, Future Zahir (widely known as “Baby Future”).  One commenter suggested Cici should cut Baby Future’s locks as he was “beginning to look like Blue Ivy” – a diss to the young Carter’s famous hairstyles.  Mo liked the pic:

From there, all hell broke loose with the #Beyhive swarming her Instagram page with bee emojis.

Wielding a bevy of insults on the ‘Don’t Take It Personal’ singer’s Facebook and Twitter handles as well, the fiery attack reached such heights it prompted Mo to clapback with an official statement.

Ouch! Let’s hope this misunderstanding blows over soon.

Taping is well underway for season 10 of ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta.’

Set to hit screens this Fall, the milestone instalment of the Bravo hit promises the return of familiar faces – as well as OG Nene Leakes.

The latter was snapped filming with cast-mates Kenya Moore, Cynthia Bailey, and Sheree Whitfield at a 70s themed party.

Fan favorites Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss also shared sneak peeks at their looks on social media:

Even though we’re still pouring out the liquor in memory of our girl Phaedra Parks, we’re ready for RHOA’s return.

From Nene’s comeback to Eva Marcille‘s apparent addition, it’s already looking like a must-see.

Sevyn Streeter‘s new LP ‘Girl Disrupted’ has opened with a modest opening week number this week.

Stifled by the fact that it is yet to be released physically, the digital set impacted the Billboard 200 with 4,351 units and slid into action at #31.

Alas, her numbers see her stand as one of many acts to face slim digits this week with over half of the Top 50’s occupants moving less than 10,000 copies of their respective projects in the last chart week.

Why do you think sales have taken such a hit?

Entertainment Weekly’s union with Comic-Con sees them offer epic teasers of some of Hollywood’s most promising Sci-Fi/ Fantasy releases.

One project we should have our eyes on? Ava DuVernay‘s ‘Wrinkle in Time‘ which stars Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon.

DuVernay had this to say about the project and the character Storm Reid portrays in it:

I saw so much beauty in it, but also so much meaning. She’s a very radical thinker and she embedded her sense of what society should and could be in this piece, and a lot of it I agree with. And through that, the story of this girl saving the world and being out there in the universe slaying the darkness, it also says a lot about slaying our own dragons.

Its storyline?

The science/fantasy novel by Madeleine L’Engle, first published in 1963, revolves around a young girl whose father, a government scientist, has gone missing after working on a mysterious project called a tesseract. Three celestial beings guide her, her brother, and her friend to space in order to find him.

All aboard Disney‘s magic carpet ride! For, the studio have finally confirmed the cast of its much anticipated ‘Aladdin’ live-action remake.

After reportedly “struggling” to secure stars for the flick, the media force have signed newcomer Mena Massoud for the lead role of Aladdin, while ‘Power Rangers’ actress Naomi Scott will play Jasmine.

Their recruitment brings an end what some sources claim was a mammoth search for the picture’s protagonists, with names such as Riz Ahmed and Dev Patel initially eyed.

In a major coup, Will Smith has been formally announced as Genie – confirming speculation that had been building for months.

Set to commence shooting in London next month, the picture is being directed by Guy Ritchie.

Nostalgia and re-tellings are a tried and proven path to box office success in today’s climate, so we’re of the “why not” mindset. Especially if done correctly.

We just hope that for every big-budget revisiting of stories already told, studios will commit to the creation of new ones.

Inez and Vindooh scored praise when they joined ‘Vogue’ to release their stunning snaps of Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik.

In the shoot, the couple are showcased to the world as a “gender fluid” pair who share each other’s clothes.

Seem problematic? It does to some fans who have criticised the aforementioned parties for doing so.

Why?

Now, the couple have joined ‘Vogue’ to release the following statement:

The story was intended to highlight the impact the gender-fluid, non-binary communities have had on fashion and culture.

We are very sorry the story did not correctly reflect that spirit – we missed the mark.

We do look forward to continuing the conversation with greater sensitivity.

What do you make of the drama?
