Kanye West is never one to hold his tongue.

However, unlike most of his Hollywood contemporaries, the rapper was noticeably mute in voicing his views on the recent US election.  A move which surprised many given his publicly declared desires to run for office in 2020.

True to form, it was only a matter of time before Yeezy sounded off.

And he used the launch of the second leg of his ‘Saint Pablo Tour’ in California to share his view that Donald Trump is a “genius.”

During one of many rants at the show, he added that while he didn’t vote, he would have voted for the US’ president elect.

As if her television production company, multiple series on NBC including ‘Shades of Blue’ and a forthcoming reality talent show, and yet-titled new album don’t keep her busy enough, Jennifer Lopez reminds us all that she’s the hardest working woman in show business by showing off her new shoe line.

The 47-year-old singer/dancer/actress took to December’s ‘Harper’s Bazaar’ to shed light on her latest foray into footwear, a collaboration with designer Giuseppe Zanotti.

“People really associate me with sparkle and a little bit of street edge and things like that,” she says. “I wanted to make sure the collection had that, but then some [styles] feel very glam and high-end fashion.”

“Hop on a dick like a maniac/Head like a brainiac/ Got to read the signs like a zodiac / I’m a low-key freak, you don’t know me, yet,” raps Aiko over the new tune.

Mariah Carey‘s new docu-series was initially billed as chronicling her world tour and wedding to billionaire James Packer. But with the latter now a bust, it appears focus will instead turn to the events that led up to their explosive split.

In a newly released super trailer, Carey is seen frolicking with dancer Bryan Tanaka – the same dancer reports say was a catalyst for Packer calling time on his relationship with the singer.

Due to hit screens on December 4th, the latest sneak peek of the 8-part special packs drama in earnest.

Readers of That Grape Juice know what avid music lovers we are – especially of hits past.

So, just as our retrospective features ‘From the Vault’ and ‘TGJ Replay’ allow us the chance to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday of one artist, our newest feature Chart Rewind – a variation of our current Retro Rewind assay – accedes salutes to an entire era of music history.

This week we’re working on trying to keep still while listening to ‘Work It’ – the lead single from Missy Elliott‘s 2002 album, ‘Under Construction’ (read more about it here).  Crafted by Elliott and longtime collaborator Timbaland, the synth-heavy bop leapt onto the mid-September charts of that year.  Barely a month later it reached the #2 spot where it would stay for a record 10 weeks.

Held at bay by Grammy-winning rapper Eminem and his #1 hit ‘Lose Yourself,’ ‘Work’s inability to top the Hot 100 hardly made it a failure.  With its charismatic video showing off Elliott’s jaw-dropping weight loss, creativity, and festive dance moves to help it, the tune went on to gain platinum status.

Relive the magic and tuck in below to see who joined Em and M.E. on the singles chart this week 14 years ago:
