With the Platinum Edition of Beyonce‘s visual album now in stores, the remoulded set has re-ignited buzz surrounding the game-changing project.
Originally released one year ago, the blockbuster set rocked the industry by not only arriving unannounced, but by coming packaged with a video for every song.
Two of the clips most-talked-about were the Jonas Akerlund helmed ‘Haunted’ and ‘Superpower’.
The much-sought after director is now giving the masses a behind the scenes look at the creation of both visuals, debuting never-before-seen by way of our friends over at Revolt.
Like previous years, this instalment of the annual extravaganza paid homage to the achievements of the industry’s R&B and Hip-Hop stars.
Hosted by media mogul Wendy Williams, the event (which was shot earlier this month in Las Vegas Nevada) saw performances from the likes of Chris Brown, Tinashe, and Jodeci. The show also staged the much-talked about ‘Ladies Night’ reunion featuring Lil Kim, Missy Elliott, and Da Brat.
Few projects can genuinely wear the title of “one of the most anticipated albums of the year”. Yet, for Nicki Minaj’s third studio LP ‘The Pinkprint’, it’s a status that is wholly befitting.
Due to descend into stores on December 15th, the record is preceded by singles ‘Pill N Potions’, ‘Anaconda’, ‘Only (ft. Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown)’ and the recently unwrapped ‘Bed of Lies’.

At a time where “Urban” wasn’t as accepted as it is nowadays, the single charted at a respectable #33 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was a major success on the self-explanatory and now-defunct Hot Black Singles chart where it earned the top spot. Also, the release was a Top 50 hit in the United Kingdom.
