This seems to be a mantra will.i am has embraced, for the hitmaker has announced he is to release another solo album.

Some may remember the Black Eyed Peas star’s first bid at singular stardom, 2008’s ‘Songs About Girls’, which bombed in quite spectacular fashion upon released. Indeed, the set debuted at #38 and sold just 21,000 copies in its first week on sale.

In the four years since then, the producer has gone on to amass a successful body of work with other artists; success, we’re sure rebuilt his confidence to launch a chart assault on his own accord now the Pea’s are on hiatus.

When critics talk, Billboard listens.

For, in what news that will serve to change the way albums chart on the Billboard 200 forever, the company has announced it is to introduce a new policy which will make scoring #1 albums all the more difficult for artists who feel they can ‘cheat’ their way to the top.

When Rihanna‘s latest single ‘We Found Love’  remained at  the top of the US singles chart last week, it became the 36th week the performer had spent atop that chart since her debut.

This of course came much to the horror of Beyonce fans as it meant the pair were now tied for having spent the same amount of time at #1.

Now- as of this chart week- the pair are no longer tied. For, the ‘S&M‘ singer has now impressively  bested  the 36 week record she once shared with Knowles.

The X-Factor USA is here!

Fox’s much hyped British import has finally kicked off on American soil and looks set to be the biggest show of its kind.

Featuring judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, LA Reid and Nicole Scherzinger, the show favours American Idol with its nationwide auditions. However, there is a defining twist in that groups and solo acts over 25’s are eligible to enter.

After weeks of auditions and bootcamp we now enter the live shows where the narrowed down top 10 are battling to advance to the next stage of the competition.

Fans are seeing a new Whitney Houston – sparkling in her own right as she preps a reboot of the 1976 musical ‘Sparkle’.  Already gracing Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood, the ever youthful 48-year-old diva has now taken her new shine over to AJ Calloway (formerly of 106 & Park) and Extra TV.

Blige is getting closer to the November 21st release of ‘My Life II:  The Journey Continues’ – the sequel to the 1994 catapult that launched her into superstardom.  Known to most as the ‘Queen of Hip-Hop Soul’ (due in great part to the prequel), its safe to say all eyes are on this second chapter and oh-na-na what’s her name to see who will emerge victorious from the diva showdown.

Never one to rest on her laurels (even with baby Carter soon to make her own debut), mommy-to-be Beyonce is readying fans for ‘Live At Roseland: Elements of 4′ DVD by dropping not one, but TWO clips from the extravaganza moments ago.  The live set, in stores November 29th, invites viewers in for their first look at live treatments of cuts from her most recent ‘4’ album, as well as revisiting some of her greatest hits.

With fan favorite ‘End of Time’ also dropping earlier today, ‘I Was Here’ is the latest taste of the ‘Elements’ DVD set to whet appetites.
