After a tumultuous two years, R&B star Chris Brown has staged what many billing as a comeback of biblical proportions.

Indeed, the year following the ‘incident’ saw the promising talent cast as the new Bobby Brown of music. Fast forward to today, and the 22 year old appears to have picked up right where he left off – at the top of the charts. This year’s ‘F.A.M.E’ has spurned numerous hits including ‘Look At Me Now’ and ‘Yeah 3x’, and the LP itself is riding on to Platinum status.

Despite this, a sect of folk remain pessimistic about Brown and the legitimacy of his ‘comeback’. A stance not helped by his headline-grabbing antics.

So, to hear what the masses really think, we hit the streets of Hollywood to get The Word on Chris Brown!

Hip-Pop newcomer Mann has drummed up the buzz since bursting onto the scene earlier this year. A buzz the 19 year old will be hoping grows louder with the release of his debut album ‘Mann’s World’.

Led by the 50 Cent assisted ‘Buzzin”, the LP couldn’t ask to be ushered in by a better single. For, not only did it sell over 300,000 copies,  it also peaked at #2 in the Radio Airplay Chart and #7 in the TV Airplay Chart..

The global smash is a fitting prelude of what’s to come on the album. Mann’s opening up the door to his world, and he wants to make sure everyone’s heard:

“I want people to respect my grind. I want people to feel good listening to my music. I want to roll in my own lane and dominate that forever. Nobody can do it like I do it.”

The latest line-up of the Sugababes assert their ‘Freedom’ on the first single to be lifted from the forthcoming Sony Music debut.

Despite already performing the song recently at T4 On The Beach, the studio version of the track is still M.I.A (a fact no doubt attributable to its ‘official’ release being almost two months away).

‘I Just Want It To Be Over’ singer Keyshia Cole sought to bring an end to speculation that she and gal pal/‘Trust’ co-star Monica are feuding.  As reported here, although the singer is preparing for her own second wedding, she was noticeably absent from that of Monica’s.
