The critical acclaim that’s come flooding in for SZA‘s long-awaited sophomore album, ‘SOS,’ seems set to be outpaced only by the gargantuan commercial response it’s been afforded.

Preceded to Billboard 200 battle by its housed Hot 100 top 20 hits ‘Shirt‘ (#11 peak), ‘I Hate U‘ (#7 peak), and ‘Good Days‘ (#9 peak), anticipation for the project saw it soar to the top of pre-order lists on many major digital retailers ahead of its official unveiling.

Just a day after being released on December 9, the 23-track effort zoomed to the top of Apple Music tallies in over 50 countries while also dominating real-time iTunes sales charts in nearly a dozen (as we reported here).

Its performance on those outlets, in conjunction with a record-breaking run on Spotify, sees the LP poised to enter the Billboard 200 with the GRAMMY winner’s biggest first-week numbers yet.

After watching his sophomore album, the March-released ‘Candydrip,’ be greeted with sweet critical acclaim and his highest positioning on the Billboard 200 to date, singer-songwriter Lucky Daye is hoping to return the set to its former glory with a reissue.

Released Friday (December 9), the GRAMMY winner has repackaged the 17-track project with four additional songs including new tunes ‘Magic,’ ‘Apply Pressure,’ a Lil Durk-less version of ‘NWA,’ and more.

Ahead of the deluxe drop, Daye unveiled the official music video for the tune ‘F*ckin Sound.’  Watch it inside and stream the revamped ‘Candydrip’ courtesy of Apple Music.

Move over Chris Brown; there’s a new king of long-a** albums in town!

Hip-Hop fans who can’t get enough of Gucci Mane got an early Christmas present when the GRAMMY-nominated emcee recently dropped a brand new album that has a runtime of nearly four hours!

Titled ‘So Icy Boyz: the Finale,’ the 4-disc project –  a 1017 compilation produced by Zaytoven – is loaded with a whopping 80 tracks that features appearances from fellow Urban music stars like Trey Songz, 2 Chainz, Offset, Quavo, Lil Baby, Jeremih, and others.

OWN is looking to score a ratings touchdown with their newest holiday film, ‘A Christmas Fumble.’

Starring Devale Ellis and model-actress Eva Marcille, the festive romantic comedy tells the tale of when the “Queen of Crisis Management” (portrayed by Marcille) took on her toughest client yet – a former pro football star-turned-TV commentator whose problematic past is coming back to haunt him.

Though she tries to keep things professional, the task is daunting given that she and the sportsman previously dated – a conflict of interest that sends the two down an unexpected road of hilarious twists and turns during the holidays.

On November 30, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) took to press to announce ‘Break My Soul,’ the chart-topping lead single from Beyonce‘s seventh solo studio album, ‘Renaissance,‘ had crossed its threshold for Platinum certification. This means it’s sold the equivalent of 1 million copies in the United States.

What’s more, the LP itself – which also houses the hits ‘Cuff It,’ ‘Church Girl,’ and others – is similarly certified.

And while the feat brought with it a number of noteworthy achievements, a clear standout is the exclusive club the diva is now part of thanks to the arrival of the new shiny plaques.
