Readers of That Grape Juice know how passionate we are about music – whether that be past or present.

However, unlike our other segments – Retro Rewind, TGJ Replay, and From The Vault – The Pop Stop is the most in-depth look at Pop songs that may have flown under the radar over the last week that you should know, rather they be from music’s biggest stars or those on the rise.

This week, we want to highlight cuts from Shania Twain, The 1975, Kelsea Ballerini, 5 Seconds of Summer, Royal & the Serpent, and The Comet is Coming.

Norman, can you handle this?

Only a star of the magnitude of the legendary Norman Lear, one of television history’s most important writers and producers, can boast reassembling Destiny’s Child.

Giveon is proving to be the musical gift that keeps giving.

For, fresh from releasing his album ‘Give or Take,’ the R&B crooner has unwrapped brand new song ‘Time.’

Lifted from the ‘Amsterdam’ movie soundtrack (due October 7), the moving mid-tempo was penned by the singer alongside Drake and Daniel Pemberton. The latter of whom co-produced with Jahaan Sweet.

Speaking on the record, Giveon said:

“The depth and timeless feel of the record, as well as the incredible cast of talented actors starring in the movie immediately made me gravitate towards the film. I grew up listening and studying Frank Sinatra’s music, so I was excited to convey my admiration while channeling the feel of this film through that sound. Being a part of this incredible record has granted me the opportunity to step outside of my comfort zone.”

Drake also recently reflected on the song, saying:

“Loved working with this talented group and honored to help create something special and original for this meaningful film.”

The arrival of ‘Time’ comes as Giveon gears up to set sail on tour.
