Class is in session this Fall on Netflix.

For, the masses will be welcomed to ‘The School for Good and Evil’ on October 19.

The eagerly anticipated film centers on oddball best friends Sophie (Sophia Anne Caruso) and Agatha (Sofia Wylie), who find themselves on opposite sides of a ferocious battle when they are swept away into an enchanted school where aspiring heroes and villains are trained to protect the balance between Good and Evil.

Boasting an all-star assembly of names such as Kerry Washington, Charlize Theron, Laurence Fishburne, Michelle Yeoh, and Patti LuPone, the Paul Feig-directed movie is based on Soman Chainani’s like-titled book, ‘The School for Good and Evil.’

Summer may be in rearview, but the season’s most notable song, ‘Last Last’ by Burna Boy, continues to heat up the airwaves, charts, and dancefloors worldwide.

Housed on the Afrobeats star’s latest album ‘Love, Damini,’ the track has continued to blaze and shows no signs of slowing. Case in point is it crossing the 100 million streams mark.

For, not only is she gearing up to release her new album ‘Hold The Girl,’ but she has also shared a live performance of her most recent release, a track called ‘Hurricanes.’ 

Backed by a guitar and drums, she delivers the stunning track with immaculate vocals.

‘Hold The Girl’ is set to serve as the follow-up to her critically-acclaimed ‘Sawayama’ album.

‘Hold The Girl,’ the album is set to be available everywhere on September 16.

JoJo is known for serving the vocals every time she graces the microphone, and this time it is no different.

The acclaimed vocalist shared her most recent live performance. This time around, it is a rendition of Lizzo‘s hit song ‘2 Be Loved.’

Anchored by her strong vocal performance, the tune is complete with a guitar and two backup singers.

Lizzo’s ‘2 Be Loved’ served as the second single from her ‘Special’ album, which also featured the #1 hit ‘About Damn Time.’

As for JoJo, the live performance of ‘2 Be Loved’ comes shortly after she shared a live showing of her song ‘Spiral Szn.’

The music industry continues to reel after the shocking shooting death of rapper PnB Rock who was killed in a Los Angeles restaurant Monday (September 12) as the result of a robbery attempt.

Born Rakim Allen, the emcee was at Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles dining with his girlfriend when the incident occurred, leaving the 30-year-old dead from shooting injuries.

While local law authorities have yet to announce any details about their ongoing investigation of the matter, some of Allen’s fans and supporters are pointing the finger toward his girlfriend for posting — and tagging Roscoe’s — on her Instagram story (thereby allegedly alerting a would-be attacker of their location).

Although she’s since removed the post, it hasn’t stopped many – including celebrity friends of Rock’s like Kodak Black – from blaming her.

As reported here Monday (September 12), shockwaves were sent through the music industry after reports surfaced rapper PnB Rock was shot and killed in Los Angeles as a result of a robbery attempt.  He was only 30-years-old.

While a number of his Hip Hop peers and fans flooded social media with condolences and sympathies for his family, Rap Queen Nicki Minaj did too – but not without issuing a stern message to rappers about the company they keep.

Citing Rock’s death as a cautionary tale, her warnings – although cheered on by her fans affectionately called #Barbz – earned jeers from some and was even branded as ‘untimely’ and ‘insensitive.’

As part of the classic 80’s sitcom ‘227,’ actress Jackee Harry gave life to one of TV’s most memorable supporting characters – the sassy “Sandra Clark.”

Noted for her fashion-forward ensembles, quick quips, and unmistakable voice, portrayal of “Clark” would eventually lead Harry into EMMY history books when she became the first Black woman to win the “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy” trophy in 1987.

Holding on as the sole Black female winner in the category for nearly 40 years, that status changed Monday (September 12) when she was finally joined by another veteran screen star:  Sheryl Lee Ralph.
