The BET Awards is back and set to blaze on Sunday, June 30.

As always, all eyes are on who’ll be up for nominations at Black entertainment’s biggest calendar night.

Well, wonder no more. For, the nominees list has been unveiled.

After achieving ample success with back-to-back releases, Drake leads with seven nominations. Nicki Minaj follows with a whopping six nods.

The likes of Victoria Monét, Beyonce, SZA, and Megan Thee Stallion all make their presence felt with multiple nominations apiece.

The 2020 BET Hip Hop Awards blasted from screens Tuesday night (October 27) and, as ever, the high octane show brought the goods!

Hosted by comedy supergroup 85 South (comprised of Karlous Miller, DC Young Fly and Chico Bean), the ceremony featured appearances from some of the best and brightest names in Hip Hop and R&B including Snoop Dogg, T.I. R&B superstars Brandy and Monica, Lil Wayne, Master P, and many more.

In addition to those megawatt stars, the night was highlighted by stage-blazing performances from the likes of 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Burna Boy, Coldplay star Chris Martin, City Girls, Gucci Mane, Jhenè Aiko, Lil Baby, Mulatto, Quavo, Tobe Nwigwe, Ty Dolla $ign, and more.

April 24 marks the kick off of the star-studded 2020 ‘Feed the Streetz’ tour.

Branded the ‘Living Legendz’ edition, the outing boasts a “who’s who” of Hip Hop titans including the likes of Rick Ross, Jeezy, 2 Chainz, T.I., Yo Gotti, Lil Kim, Boosie Badazz, and more.  In addition to the previously mentioned, surprise guests will fill out the roster along the course of the jaunt’s dates (that includes stops in Atlanta, Chicago, Oakland, Los Angeles, and more).

The MTV Video Music Awards 2019 will be heating up screens on August 25th live from New Jersey’s Prudential Center.

Hailed as one of the most important days on the Pop music calendar, all eyes are on who is up for coveted Moonmen at the show’s 35th instalment. Especially with MTV soldiering on with gender-neutral categories.

Are we the only ones who love when awards’ season is in full swing?

With the Grammys and Golden Globes in our rearview, next up is the NAACP Image Awards.

Unveiling its full list of nods today, the prestigious award honors actors, actresses, singers, authors, and activists of color, in and out of the entertainment industry, via its 50th annual presentation this year live on TV One.

Music royals such as Beyonce, JAY-Z, and Janet Jackson all landed noms in the recording categories, as did  Grammy-winning newcomers such as H.E.R and Ella Mai.

Elsewhere Netflix and HBO lead in the TV categories.

Trey Songz is celebrating his 34th birthday in a major way. For, rhe R&B star has released not one but two new projects.

Unleashed without announcement today, the collections are titled ’11’ and ’28’ respectively. A nod to their November 28th arrival.

Coming in at 10-tracks each, the projects are home to many a guest feature (especially ’28’). Collaborators include (but aren’t limited to) Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign, Dave East, Jeremih, Yo Gotti, Jacquees, 2 Chainz, Rich the Kid, Tory Lanez, and Swae Lee.

Peep any chart this year and Drake and Cardi B will have been firm fixtures. And that’s on a global scale.

It’s fitting, then, that the duo lead the nominations for the 2018 BET Hip-Hop Awards 

Listed in all of the main categories, Drizzy leads with a whopping 11 honors, while new mom Cardi follows with a titan-like ten. Others named include The Carters (Jay-Z + Beyonce), Migos, and J. Cole.

Set to tape on October 6th, the annual extravaganza will broadcast on BET on October 16th.

This year’s show sees the spectacle return to The Fillmore in Miami following last year’s move from Atlanta.
