Brandy Fires Back

R&B singer Brandy has broken her silence regarding the various ‘wrongful death’ lawsuits levelled against her. The complaints were made by the family members of a 38 year old woman -Awatef Aboudihaj- who died in a four-car collision on December 30th last year in LA – a collision they claim was caused by the singer. However, in court documents filed this Wednesday, Brandy, though remorseful, ’specifically denies each and every allegation in the wrongful death complaints filed against her’. The ‘Boy Is Mine’ singer is requesting the case be brought before a jury to prove her innocence in the accident.

Prosecutors are unlikely to file criminal charges against the ‘Mosesha’ star, 28, seeing as there was no evidence of alcohol/substance use or cell distraction. Yet, this hasn’t stopped relatives of the deceased, including her parents and husband, filing ‘wrongful death’ claims (3 in total) – which, if they win, Brandy will have to financially compensate them.

It’s always unfortunate when someone dies under such circumstances, but damn give Brandy a break! I mean 3 lawsuits for what was clearly an accident is not right at all. You would think she did it intentionally – which isn’t even what’s being argued here- considering the way she’s been made out to be a villain . It appears that the family are using a tragic situation to capitalize on Brandy’s fame and fortune. I just hope she manages to overcome all this and is able to continue with her life.

I agree. My condolences to the family but 3 Lawsuits for an Accident? Comeon…Brandy was not drunk like Paris Hilton. Brandy was not on cocaine like Lindsay Lohan. And Brandy was not talking on the cell phone like Nicole Richie. Really all three of these Airheads got away with their criminal acts and Brandy gets all this bulls**? I am glad Brandy is fighting back yes they deserve to be compensated but for all this ridiculous amount of lawsuits is ludicrous. And Brandy is paying dearly anyway she HAS TO LIVE WITH KILLING A WOMAN BY ACCIDENT EVERYDAY! THAT IS PAINFUL ENOUGH!

I personally think no amount of money can bring back a loved one but damn hell no I don’t feel sorry for Brandy send her ass to jail she killed that woman because she was being a stupid bitch crying over some man who dumped her and speeding, let the police handle it,

The only person i feel sorry for is that woman’s kids, they have to grow up without their mother, but on the real the only person who should be suing is them (or their father on behlaf of them) and not for millions but to help raising them college and stuff,

The whole poor Brandy thing I don’t buy everyone has to suffer the consequences of their actions if that was someone yall knew that died you wouldn’t be saying poor Brandy,

Yeah if Brandy killed your family member in a car crash you’d be poor Brnady shut the fuck up, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I don’t feel sorry for her, to be a hater i have to be envious of her and why the fuck would I? It is unfortunate that the accident happened and that lives were lost. But hell, if I got in an accident and killed someone, they couldn’t sue me for nothin’ cause I aint got it.

I can understand the family wanting to be compensated, but 3 lawsuits. I think Brandy SHOULD take this to court and be proven innocent/guilty.

She shouldn’t have to just give money away just b/c she has it.
