Victim’s Husband: "Brandy Has No Right Partying"

Published: Friday 17th Aug 2007 by Sam
The husband of the woman who died in a car accident, which involved Brandy, believes the singer shouldn’t be out enjoying herself while he is still mourning. Marquane Hdidou’s lawyer voiced his clients anger in a statement to TMZ outside a court hearing.

Meanwhile, a judge has allowed for Hdidou, his wife’s two kids from a previous marriage, her parents and a woman also involved in the car accident to combine their lawsuits into one. All are seeking cash from Brandy. A court hearing has been set for sometime in January. No criminal charges have been filed against the singer…

As bad as I feel for the family, I’m can’t help but think that they’re trying to extort money from Brandy. The fact that criminal charges have not been brought against her reaffirms the fact that it was a tragic accident – nothing more. So why all the lawsuits? Harsh as it may sound, they need to go sit down somewhere.

Yiur thoughts?

I agree with you. I think that it was just an accident. I am be far not making light of the family’s tragedy; be should she be depressed over an accident? Of course the family is mourning. Why should Brandy be mourning, too?

The family needs to chill!!!! man! I’m not suprisded that they’re still “mourning” but trying to get more money outta Brandy isn’t right. She’s moved on, obviously &they should leave her be. Leave Brandy &her money alone. XD

Accidents happen, and she grieved over the situation even though she doesn’t know the family. Those folks know her status as an artist , so they make it SO obvious that all they are after is money. Greedy B******.

I hope and pray brandy comes out on top from this, cause I surely can’t wait for her to start making music again.

I think the family is right, saying she shouldn’t be out partying.. She was acting stupid, talking on her cell phone while driving and hit somebody. If I was part of the family, I’d be pissed to, she’s a celebrity, she can just get over it and be in a 50 cent music video acting like a s***. I hope this b**** never gets behind the wheel again, maybe if the tables were turned she’d understand.

the family cant expect her to morn forever. my god. they just want money. and trying to get it out of a so called “loved ones” death. petty b******.

To the person who made the comment saying she was on a cell phone while driving and hit someone is completely false it has been proven there was no drugs alcohol or a cell phone in the accident and thats just wat it was an accitdent she was driving didn’t stop fast enough she rear ended a car that hit the car in front of it the lady car then moved into the left lane where she was struck by a third car which was not Brandy’s

This was a tragic accident. Brandy was not under the influence of any drugs – legal or illegal, nor was she on the phone. Brandy apologized for what happened – which was the only thing she could do. She grieved for the lose and for the family … there is nothing else she could do. She could give this family every penny to her name but it will not bring their loved one back. They need to seek counseling. They are still stuck in the anger stage of grief and they need help getting past this stage. I don’t think Brandy did anything wrong by going out to a party.
