Fashion Rocks 2007; Whitney’s Appearance & More
As reported earlier this week, Whitney Houston made a triumphant return to the public eye at the Fashion Rocks 2007 event here in London. Check out the video of her appearance, as well the performance she introduced- Sugababes and Patti Labelle performing ‘Lady Marmalade’:
Sugababes & Patti Labelle – ‘Lady Marmalade’
Whitney really looks to have gotten herself together; she looked and sounded great. I enjoyed the ‘Lady Marmalade’ performance – until Patti came out. She’s a legend, no doubt about that, but vocally she was a mess – nearly killing the performance with random and annoying screaming.

nothing against the sugarbabes but personally i find them a bit boring.

I think she did hit a couple of notes that she didn’t need to and scream a couple of times unnecessarily, but overall I think that she did great and that it definitely added to the show. The crowd was hype and the stage setting was definitely hott. Whitney looked great. She just spoke kind of weirdly. But she looked like she is getting everything together. That is what leaving Bobby can d for you.

woopz am so with the sugarbabes were a bit boring thing.
And sorry to say it but Patti was the final touch to the performance. She brought the woooow-soul-thang-thang. N I loved it!

The song was a snoozer ’til Patti came out! Tweens might like the Sugababes for their looks but that’s where it ends, and if you haven’t experienced Patti in concert, you haven’t lived! Had there been no Pattti, there would have been no Lady Marmalade! Sugababes? Sugah, who?

it only made since to have patti come out. the world knows how patti screams but that’s what makes her patti. the only successful screamer in the business for nearly 50 years so stop hating on her. if your mom could scream like that at 64 and become rich, i doubt you’d be complaining.
