Mariah Carey Single News
According to Mariah Daily Journal, Mariah Carey’s new single is likely a T-Pain collaboration called ‘Migrate’. The 37 year old superstar hosted a New Year’s Eve part at TAO, Las Vegas and apparently rang in 2008 by playing the new track. It’s worth noting that ‘It’s Like That’, the first single from the six times Platinum ‘Emancipation of Mimi’ LP was first played by Mariah at the New Year’s Eve 2005 Party she hosted at the PURE night club in Las Vegas on December 31, 2004.
I know T-Pain was inescapable in 2007 – I actually liked a few of his songs (did I have a choice? lol) – but come on now. Everybody and their mother is jumping on the T-Pain bandwagon and it’s becoming old, fast. Still, I won’t knock it until I’ve heard it…

Dear Sam, “The Emancipation of Mimi” has been certified by the RIAA 6xPlatinum, not 5 as you say.
Anyway, “Migrate” hasn’t been confirmed as the leading single already. And if we follow “The Emancipation” logic we already have to hear two tracks until the def single comes out, remmeber how “Say Somethin’” and “Mine Again” were tentative first singles but they didn’t quite work. At this moment there have been so many rumours I’ll believe it when I hear it.
Happy New year and congrats for your great blog

Sorry, my bad, it was “To The Floor” the second track we heard in the previous leaks of “Mimi”.

^^^ how is Janet blowing Mariah outta the water when Mariah ain’t in it? Janet is doing her thing and Mariah is doing hers, I don’t get how Janets last album flopped cos it was good but let the ladies make the music, stop trying to make it a battle,
Oh and I’m tired of T Pain’s ass but i’ll still listen to the single

I will definatly be very dissapointed if her first single is with t-pain but then again after listening i might change my mind. I dont know how someone with so little talent has had the opportunity to work with these legends spec if the usher and michael jackson thing happens. Makes a joke out of the industry.

I am excited to hear some new MC but knowing that T_Pain has something to do with it lessens that a little. I mean yes he makes catchy songs but an artist of Mariahs caliber doesn’t need that.
