New Song: Akon – ‘Hold My Hand (ft. Michael Jackson)’
The cut is familiar territory for Michael – from both his and Akon’s vocal arrangements right down to the subject matter; which I guess makes it accessible for fans of that aspect of his music. Saying that, I’m kinda on the fence about this one. Despite the supposedly ‘new’ MJ material floating around, this is the first legitimate taste of post-’Invincible’ MJ material and it doesn’t really deliver the ‘umph’ I would have hoped for. Still, this could be a grower.

its good man, thats all tho, good. Its definately a generic akon ballard sounding tune, which to be honest ive not been into, i would have liked to heard something with danceability, ya know like Smack That or Bonanza… I think MJ’s comeback revoles around hard hip-hop/pop street groves, ones that have energy and rhythm, i think he needs a couple of ballards as fillers, but this is all this would be. Nice to hear him again, despite his last album being recieved as mediocre I actually think technically his voice was the best its ever been but it just had too many slow, long songs… Come one mic, make a record for the dancefloors, thats where your at your peak… and dont use f-king Auto-tone!!!! Its a good sound but everyones using it now and everything sounds so samey, we need a smasher!!!! We need hard, egdy, club bangers mike
