In a recent interview with the LA Times, Christina Aguilera got the claws out, albeit subliminally, when questioned about the murmurings in many circles that she is ‘borrowing’ newcomer Lady Gaga’s style for her latest ‘look’:What do you say to those on the Internet who are hinting that you borrowed Lady Gaga’s look?
You know, that’s funny that you mention that. This person [Lady Gaga] was just brought to my attention not too long ago. I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman. I just wasn’t sure. I really don’t spend any time on the Internet, so I guess I live a little under a rock in that respect.

I mean to be quite honest I’ve NEVER heard an entire Lady GaGa song, and if you played me a snippet of one of her songs, I really wouldn’t know how to really tell you if it was her too.
So yes I know of her, but her voice hasn’t really struck me yet, since I haven’t heard any of her songs.
Christina Aguilera will always be better regardless-SO really there only is the faint comparison(sp) of their looks.

The only thing similar about them is their hair! Christina would never wear that outfit that GaGa is wearing. If it weren’t for the comparison people wouldn’t even know or care who this girl is. Gaga should be thanking christina for giving her this much attention. While Christina Aguilera is a very talented artist, it is entirely unprofessional for such a statement to be made. UNLIKE some artists Lady Gaga has been entirely committed to her craft and has not only an equally amazing voice but also writes co-produces and assists every step of the way when she creates her songs. Can Christina Aguilera say that? Furthermore, the fact that this very talented and younger actress has recently come on to the scene can mean only that Aguilera is clearly threatened as she should be. Lady Gaga is a force to be reckoned with and anyone who says otherwise clearly has never heard her music.

Ms. Aguilera is clearly copying Gaga’s style because she has no style of her own. She switches styles as often as she changes her underwear. She doesn’t know what she wants to be. Just trying so hard to fit in where she can get in. Lady Gaga is clearly a force to be reckoned with (talented and creative artist) and Aguilera knows it. She is a big fat liar to pretend she hasn’t even heard of Gaga. Her response is so typical of an artist trying to shut down or block a younger artist from making it onto the music scene. Listen to Gaga’s music before you judge.

I frequent the internet very often, more often than I assume Christina Aguilera would, and I could honestly say if you showed me a pic of Lady Gaga or played her music I wouldn’t know who she is. Besides, I believe Christina has been rocking the the retro look much longer. Even if there is a chance she copied, Christina does it much better

PAY ATTENTION!!! Lady Gaga's album THE FAME is amazing, just perfect – every song is so catchy its in my top 5 of all time. She will never be huge in USA as her music is distinctly pop but she is defo set for big things in Europe & UK. 'Just Dance' was number 1 like everywhere apart from states. Give her a chance peeps, she's fresh funky and very unique which u gotta respect. Her style of music is electro 80s pop dance with a modern urban edge. Her album recieved vast critical acclaim & comparisons to the early Madonna have been noted everywhere.

Christina has rocked that platinum blonde hair a lot…I remember way back in the day when her hair started falling out. The red lipstick has also always been something I’ve seen on Xtina. Other than that I don’t see the similarities, but then again I haven’t heard of this lady gaga artist before either. At the end of the day you need to measure an musical artist by their talent (vocal, songwriting, etc)…Not their style.

oh please why is everybody acting like of course christina had to know who lady gaga is. she made this comment when barely anyone knew who gaga was. i realize she hasn’t been this famous all her life. and about not knowing weather or not she was a man or a woman, a lot of drag queens use lady in there names. so if she didn’t know who lady gaga was already then yes she wouldn’t know weather she was a man or a woman. and i hate the way people are acting like lady gaga is original. she’s not . none of the artists out today are original. they all work with the same people and make music that sounds the same. when christina starts working with these people everybody decides she’s copying. and calling her unoriginal when no artists today are original.
