With the release of Kelly Rowland‘s new LP drawing nearer, we have received reliable word that a Chris Brown penned cut titled ‘Geronimo’ will be included on the record. The Los Da Mystro produced track was initially shopped to Rowland’s pal Brandy, however it appears the Destiny’s Child alumni secured it in the end.
Speaking on Twitter the pair exchanged the following:

I love watching Chris in the studio on ustream, you get to really see him in his element. He practically wrote this song by himself although he did get some help from Kmac, he came up with the melody, most of the words, the arrangements, its awesome to see. We got to see him create 3 songs from scratch, he’s amazing!! =)

this wasnt even the finished version of the demo and its still great.Kelly will do great on this song.Chris is an amazing talent aside from him being an amzing artist hes a amazing song writter too.Glad peple r starting to take notice that he is a great writter.He has wrote a lot of song for a lot of artist and more the a handful were/are hit songs.Cant wait for kellys album

Let me say it definitely has the electric strings, and piano and same influences of Flashback, it does sound like Flashback Part two, and it’s more current, and a bit more up-tempo. Two completely different songs with the same vibe. Besides, it has the same writers and producers… I knew this was a Lonny Bereal joint from press play, so yall chill. No one saying its flashback, but it definitely has some of the same elements.

@Jay…the song is about moving onto a new love. Geronimo is a saying that people yell when they jump from a higher elevation to propel to a lower one, which is why he says stuff about “gravity”, “basejump to your love”. I love the build up to the chorus when he says “when I reach my mark, hope that is your heart”. I wanted Chris to keep it for himself but I hope Kelly does it justice….secretly hoping for CB’s hi-fi demo to leak.

Wow when will the hate stop? Chris has something no one can take away and that’s call T-A-L-E-N-T….. Like it or not what he has comes from God as a gift , not everyone can sing, write, dance and act. We all have our opinions him and that’s great… but, to constanly bash a person daily because of making a bad choice at a early age… I’m glad that he is being accept back in the entertainment world, he has done half as much as some celebrities… Let’s hope that his personal life and musical career can be seperated… I’m not going to start naming people who have stabbed, shot, rape etc. who is still being accepted by the industry but, most of us know who they are. I wish CB and Kelly the best there is!!!!

Now yall know I have some reservations about Ms. Kelly Rowland and her vocal abilities, but I must say I’m liking all the tracks she has so far! I don’t know how it’s a Lonny B Real song, when I along with thousands of others watched CB and KMac build the song from scratch on Ustream. lol. They literally constructed the song from nothing. Maybe Lonny came in and gave it some polishing touches with Kelly. smh.

I can most definately hear Brandy doin this. But I cannot WAIT to see how Kelly does it. she always manages to take songs and make em her own. Um glad they are doin so much with this album. I am really pushing for a HIGH debut and great sells as well. So far so good. Now its just time for a first single or better yet a promo single like Rihanna did with Wait Your Turn and Ciara did with Go Girl. SN:I would love to hear Kelly do that note in there. Her vocals are amazingly underrated.

I think that if anyone should have this song, it’s Brandy! That’s her style and the smooth, softness of her voice would just make you melt! It’s hot as it is!
