Whitney Houston says that she is in great health. The legendary singer has rejected tabloid reports which claimed that the cause of her recent hospitalisation was a result of a drug relapse. Houston has been at the centre of media speculation regarding her well-being since the start of this year after a string of poor performances and lip-syncing during the Australian leg of her ‘Nothing But Love’ tour. Here is what she had to say to PEOPLE magazine below:
“I’m feeling great,” she tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I’m just ready to move on and continue my world tour.”
Hospitalized earlier this week for an upper respiratory infection, Houston postponed the first four shows of her European tour, fueling tabloid speculation that she’s in a downward drug spiral.
Houston calls such reports “ridiculous” and says, “At this point, I just don’t respond. I don’t even read it.”
Checking into a hospital in Paris was doctor’s orders. “My health is terrific,” says the singer, 46. “But this is a time when I get a lot of allergies.”
Houston’s tour will resume on April 13 in Birmingham, England, and will continue through June. “I’m doing what I love to do, which is singing,” Houston says. “The best part is seeing all of my fans around the world.” {Source}

Its a sad day when Trent do a post before even getting to the end of it!!! LOL I don’t recall seeing one report of the Australia media tearing into her for lip-synching. If anything they were upset because she hit a few bad notes.. Why must you act like everyone lip through their entire concert like MImi? Comeon now…

Awww, Nippy,you really had me worried. I’m so glad you are feeling better. I saw pics of her today in London and she looked great and in good spirits.
@Trent: You a damn fool- no press in Austraila ripped her for lipsyncing, none!
She sung over the backing tracks for one song, For the Lover’s because she was dancing up a song. You could still here her vocals.
You want to equate her so bad to Mariah’s constant lipping and she doesn’t have an excuse cause she doesn’t dance on stage.

Her last 3 Australian concerts got good reviews so another fail. I thought you prided yourself on being knowledgable and doing research. SMH

Anywho yaaaay!!!!! told ya…can’t keep a strong woman like Whitney down for long…she is all hard work and dedication despite her minor fallback which makes me appreciate this woman so much more. Love you Whit whit….oh and trent Whitney is too talented to even pull off a mariah *lipsyched show*….and it’s great to know that despite that horrible media on thier farticles of Whit…she still manages to sell out a majority of her concerts, everyone has mad love for Whit.
