With the release of Christina Aguilera‘s already-controversial new LP ‘Bionic’ drawing ever-nearer (June 8th), lengthy snippets of three cuts from the record have surfaced in the form of ‘Bionic’, ‘I Hate Boys’, and ‘You Lost Me’.

I’m a huge Christina fan, but I gotta say that Bionic and I Hate Boys were kinda lukewarm. I think that she killed it though with You Lost Me. Having said that, it’s nice to see Sam trying to “hold judgement” until the album drops. That’s how a true writer does it. ThatGrapeJuice has been a site of hate for the past weeks, thanks to Trent. I say keep him out. 🙂

I have to agree with KEVIN! I didn’t care for the ballad. I wasn’t interested in I hate boys and Bionic was a bit comic book theme songish, but I liked some parts that made me like it overall. That being said I’m certain the album will be solid. I didn’t get that special feeling from any of these songs, but at the same time I hear the hard work going into the presentation of this album. I know it will be a great project and I will support Christina when it drops!

Those first two songs sound like this is gonna be one of Christina’s most juvenile albums yet, what is that I Hate Boys crap. At the end of that song and throughout You Lost Me her voice sounds really damaged, no matter how loud she still is.
It is the middle of May. Here are top selling albums of 2010 in the world. The figure in the bracket is the grand total of albums sold since released. Gaga is killing. She is leading Justin who is at number 2 by 822,000 albums. It’s going to be hard for anyone to catch her. Hurry up and release that album Christina and Kelly, based on how Gaga is selling she will be in the top spot until September. We need to kick her out the top spot. I will even take Eminem. I am not a hater but Gaga album is old we need a new number 1.

I think You Lost Me and I Hate Boys are great – especially the latter which definitely gets better the more you listen to it. Its a shame it is a bit generic nowadays. And comparisons to lady gaga – a year ago when she came out everyone was saying she was a copy of christina but we’ve all forgotten that haven’t we?!! and does anyone remember videos like dirrty and beautiful and how much chat they received for being slightly controversial and new?? Christina has always been like this but people forget that and jump on the LG bandwagon.

I definitely don’t think she can be compared to Gaga, Christina’s sound is so much more more different… only ‘Not Myself Tonight’ had somewhat of a Gaga flair to it.. but I think Christina is a more mature and well-rounded artist.. wheras Gaga’s music feels kinda cheap and quick. But both artists are still their own and separate.
I love them both.. but I’m definitely anticpating Christina’s album more than I did for Gaga!!
