Here is the full version of T.I’s new single, ‘Castle Walls’, from his upcoming ‘No Mercy’ album. The song features Christina Aguilera and was produced by Alex da Kid. Give it a listen below:
The production on this record was incredible. The thumping beat, the reverb on the background melody and the bass brought Tip’s passionate and honest lyrics to life. Moreover, Aguilera’s voice suited the song quite well (except at the end where she almost took things too far with her usual vocal showboating).
This track certainly has the potential to be a major hit at both Urban and Pop radio, no doubt something that Tip needs to help this album succeed. In fact, it might even be another smash on the level of ‘Life Your Life (Ft. Rihanna)‘. Well done.

I don’t even know why people feel the need to compare songs with each other. Castle Walls has nothing to do with Live Your Life, they are two seperate/different songs.
Besides, in my opinion, Live Your Life was a slightly annoying-sounding track. LOL!!

I love it. His lyrics seem a lot more authentic here then “Get Back Up”. I think the verse about where his kids might end up was powerful. I wasn’t sure if I ‘d like TI’s rap with Christina Aguilera’s vocals, but they really work. This is a great song. Wish they would’ve had a video. Maybe she can do some original clips with some of his concert footage. I don’t know.
Sidenote : Christina Aguilera didn’t do too much with her vocals at any point. I forgot I have to ignore any side comments from Trent about Christina, Rihanna, and Trey Songz ,because he has a bias against anything they come out with lol.

I reallly am proud of Christina though. Linda Perry once said that it’s uncomfortable for her to not go for the big notes (seems backwards, right? LOL) and that she has a hard time just singing naturally at and at a normal note. However, I like that she’s pushing herself to do that (case-and-point, Bionic, Burlesque [that's basically her 5th album], this song).

Christina sounds great here…, the beat is really emotive and coupled with the subtle full voice delivery this is a great look for her. I know chart positions are important but a couple of albums in the wilderness (albeit featuring introspective Eminem’s ‘Stan’-like/or Brandy’s ‘Afrodesiac’-esque quality music) wouldn’t hurt Christina at this point…, she’s talented enough to mix it up and comeback repeatedly but she needs something more interesting than empowerment i.e. sex or personal i.e. ‘domestic abuse’ to sing about…, Bionic was a good album and had many themes but nothing as bleakly interesting as the lyrics of the bridge in this song…, I love Christina but sometimes she sounds contrived and doesn’t always get under the skin of the material (choosing to slip in a few grace notes where more often following through with less would have completely nailed it)…, here she sounded totally invested in the emotional intention and I felt the truth of it but more so it was great to hear her on something akin to hiphop-style observation.

Bionic was really poorly promoted, I think, but it had some great ballads and I really liked a few upbeat songs (like “Elastic Love” and “Prima Donna”). B2B was amazing to me, and her voice sounded great. I liked Stripped, too, but I think that her weakest album, overall, was her first.
It’s crazy to me that Christina now is that Christina. She’s done so much as an artist LOL. I hope she does an R&B album for her 5th.

Yess or Electro-R&B (sorta like this song) would be so perfect for her. I love R&B but i hope she doesn’t abandon the sound she had on Bionic (Elastic Love, My Girls, Birds of Prey). Bionic was definitely poorly promoted; of course ppl are going to say “she’s been on every show” but that was only for a week & then she just disappeared.

I agree. She isn’t too arrogant but she can be sometimes and I think Bionic has grounded her a bit. An electro-R&B album would be great but Bionic did have a sound which I hope is represented on the next album.
I do see the next record being very personal, though.
My favorite Ri album would probably have to be either Rated R or Loud. Her first two albums were great but GGGB was amazing to me. Its production, promotion, image, vocals – impeccable. As for Rated R, I loved how personal and heartfelt it was. I also loved how edgy it was and what a risk it was to release. Loud is an album I love too though because it’s like a better executed version of her first 2 albums.
I really like each album more than the last, though. I like Loud the most because it doesn’t have any fillers, but Rated R and GGGB come close.

i love anything with Ms Aguilera but this song is out of this world. y are looking down on christina when she’s got God’s given talent: the voice. she keeps us entertained at all times but we are too scared to admit to it that AINT NO OTHER CHRISTINA.there maybe lady gaga and them but christina does not give up remember when she did tilt ya head with nelly it was a good song but people said that she killed the originality of the song.what is it that we want FLASHING POP STARS,MAN STEALERS,LIARS because when it comes to Ms Aguilera what you see is what you get. thank God for Christina Maria Aguilera thank you very much.

This song is awesome. Christina put this song on a whole different level her vocals are perfect as always. And is also like to know how christina copies anyone of these girls being mentioned here, she was out doing her thing before all of them and is still here. And christin.a has collaborated w many artists all wanting that out of this world voice on their tracks, listen to the song she did w diddy tell me, she sounds amazing in that too.
