Undeterred by the sales estimates of her ‘Basic Instinct’ LP, Ciara continued along the promotional trail tonight, stopping by E!’s ‘Chelsea Lately’ for a chat.
A somewhat more relaxed Ciara spoke to host Chelsea Handler about many a topic including BET’s banning of the ‘Ride’ video, competition between her and other female acts, the album, and more.

Chelsea never does performances on her show, ever. Just talking about your album lets ppl know it’s out and Chelsea averages like 5 – 7 million viewers per episode and let’s not forget her Ellen performance, can we say a rise in sales, after that performance, I’m sure Ciara will sell more, I’m predicitng around 90k – 120k for Ciara. I just don’t believe that she will sell less than 50k because a lot more ppl knew about her album that Soulja Boy’s, Nelly’s and Jazmine Sullivan’s.

Ciara you have a great personality and humble. I am sorry about your sales prayfully they are better than predicted. I have never purchased your albums but I have jammed to a lot of your songs in the goodie days and your last album “fantasy ride” had some nice songs. I will purchase this album bc of your personality eventhough I don’t really feel none of the songs but ride was catchy on the radio. Also, MONICA is my number 1 female r&b artist and I support everything she does and you and her are really close and families are close so I will support this album….Good luck and it will get better because you are a very talented person just hang in there. I agree with your opinion, but do you know what really may damage her album sales… HATERS… There are ppl on youtube negatively giving an opinion about her album & on here doing the same thing & ppl take that as a sign that she’s not worth it as an artist. And these are ppl who claim NOT TO LIKE HER… Well if you don’t, why are you commenting on a video or a post about her? ciara gets so much hate & that just as much as stans, dont help her album sales. Lol! This was a really funny interview! Chelsea cracks me the f*ck up…sometimes. Ciara came across very likeable too. She is good in her interviews and she looked nice, I am just sick of that bone straight hair. At least she actually talked about her album and her music this time rather than completely about her personal life like on Wendy! *rolls eyes*
Chelsea is just so fast paced and she seems like she was rushing the interview. It’s like she can’t wait to turn everything someone says into a joke. It gets annoying at time but I guess Ciara handled it well.
