Excuse the errors. This has been a great success musically, and performance wise for Mariah. She’s done an awesome job, by the way her sales with HSN weren’t even factored into the equation. Some people are just really imbalanced and delusional.

I named 4 different Christmas albums that snatched Mariah’s wig with their album sales and @theman had an excuse for all of them. Also i never mentioned Taylor Swift. How are those albums targeting a different demographic when they’re all Christmas albums? Girl bye.

Memoirs > Gold, did’nt sale as well, but this album was’nt following trends it was setting them. Her fans appreciated it for the art. Platinum plus hot 100 single, which had alot of staying power.

It’s convenient for haters to bring up Boyle and Evancho along with Bocelli, all of which appeals to people that purchase the whole album, surely u are not that stupid to think that they all share the same fanbase as Mariah. Mariahs fans purchase her music, and people that respect her craft. For a woman thats been smashing her whole career and still smashing records she’s doing pretty damn good.
Looking around what are the others doing that came out during her era ? I checked checked and checked and i don’t see em. Glee – One of the biggest shows on tv right now, so basically anything they release will pretty much sale.
Boyle, Her fanbase buys her albums, but her music is totally different from Mariahs.
Bocelli, is in the same reign as Boyle, how many Urban people or feather weight Pop fans will purchase they’re albums.
Evancho is much like the other two.

Where are all of the other r&b/pop artists on the charts ? females ? Besides Minaj and Rihanna they are pretty much doing poorly on the charts. Mariah is selling this well witha holiday album, just imagine if she had a huge radio single. She be burning the charts up. According to u alot of artists are failing on the charts at the moment then, because Mariah is surely selling alot better than they are, thats for sure. In conclusion, ur opinions mean nothing. So Mariahs gonna continue celebrating her success while u can enjoy hating in the nose bleed seats.

I was never “hating” on Mooriah Cowry girl. Never once did I discredit any of the records she has broken. The matter at hand is that her album flopped…..again. Your “what ifs” and “imagine this” don’t mean anything, The results are already in honey and the verdict is that Mariah’s wig was snatched 4 times. Give up and stop making yourself look like a fool. Did you really just suggest that everyone listens to the same type of Christmas music? Do you imagine the same people who listen to Mariah Carey/Destiny’s Child’s Christmas album to be listening to Andrea Bocelli’s/Susan Boyle’s Christmas album based upon the fact they’re all Christmas albums? No darling – you were wrong. Christmas music by itself is too broad a genre. Use your common sense: R&B artists make R&B influenced Christmas music, likewise with opera, classical, etc.
And whatever idiot said Glee snatched up Mariah’s wig with “no promotion at all” needs to sit down and STFU till they know their facts. It was only the other WEEK I was watching “The X Factor” and Glee were performing, followed by a short interview, promoting…

My argument was that Mariah’s Christmas album flopped. It’s an unchangable fact. 4 albums snatched her wig with considerably less promotion. No? So Glee had a few performances here and there but they still promoted much less than Mariah. You’re arguing demographics which doesn’t even matter (you can argue demographics with virtually any artist). The end point is that she isn’t selling as much as her peers are, regardless. If you’re not disputing that fact then there’s nothing left to discuss girl. All of these excuses as to why people are selling more than her are all irrelevant. Each and every one of them. I don’t know why the lambs are attacking me for stating a fact.
I guess it was to distract people from this weak ass performance. Oh well.
