Granted the song and its accompanying video may be generic Pop fodder, there remains something legitimately refreshing about the talker-singer-rapper that is Ke$ha. Something many seem to co-sign in their masses – given the Platinum sales of Ms. Sebert’s debut ‘Animal’ and the strong charting of its “extension” ‘Cannibal’ (which houses ‘We R’).

I thought that the concept and setting of this video were great as well, but the direction and graphics were cheap as hell! This video was okay, but could’ve been a lot better. Kesha can’t sing for s*** but I like the song and it has a good message. “Cannibal” only sold 74,00 copies the first week which is a big decrease from her “Animal” album which sold over 152,000 copies its first week. “We R Who We R” did very well it’s first week of release but she should have waited just a couple of more weeks to release the album cuz then she probably would’ve sold more. If bubblegum and lackluster singers like Katy Perry and Rihanna can sell 100,000-200,000 copies their first week then so can Kesha.

eh… it was okay. i actually thought she looked kinda pretty in a weird way lol (makeup was great!) and the like the idea of the video but it definitely could’ve been executed a little better. all the religious symbols surprised me though… i didn’t know she was down with Jesus like that hahahaha 😛 makes me like her even more! and she didn’t “steal” Willow’s nails people. plenty of other celebs like Beyonce, Katy Perry and Rihanna have worn 3D nails before… so QUIT.

bUT i think i understand the message behind whats going on in it. the OBVIOUS allusions to Gaga’s past music videos (hand holding a rosary, falling from a building, plentyoffish.com, etc.)
is a retort to her critics for always comparing kesha to gaga. it’s keshas way of saying “you think i’m a ripoff of gaga? well then here you go, ill give you ripoff.”
although if she did intend for We R Who We R to be a parody then the execution was poor. she shouldve gone ALL out with mocking gaga.
